National Athletic Training Month is held every March in order to spread awareness about the important work of athletic trainers.
Athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians and therapists to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions obtained from competitive sports.
We often see our trainers on the sidelines of each sporting event helping to keep athletes safe, making clinical decisions in regards to fast-paced injury, and providing on-site emergency care.
At Encore, our trainers work daily to improve functional outcomes and specialize in patient education to prevent injury and re-injury. Preventative care provided by our athletic trainers have a positive return on investment for athletes they treat. ATC’s are able to reduce injury of the athlete and then shorten rehabilitation time for their patients, which translates to lower absenteeism from their sports.
This month we celebrate each of our Athletic Trainers and the hours of dedication they bring to our Encore athletes!
