“In June, McKenna was injured in an ATV accident. She sustained a mid-distal femoral shaft fracture. She had immediate surgery and then spent 7 weeks in a full leg cast with mobility being very limited with the aid of a wheelchair.

“At the beginning of August, the doctors were satisfied with the progression of her fracture healing and released her to light activity and to start Physical Therapy. When she started rehab, she had very limited mobility of her leg. She was reluctant to use her leg or bear any weight on it. She depended heavily on her wheelchair.

“Thanks to the help of Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia and all of the amazing Rehab Team, McKenna has left the wheelchair behind and is back to walking without any aids!

“She has improved so much in the last two months and really has regained a great portion of the use and mobility of her leg back. With her hard work and perseverance, and the support of the Rehab Team, we know she will be back to 100% soon and enjoying all of the activities she loves!
