Leadership doesn’t stop when the game ends.

As Head Coach of the Lurleen B. Wallace Community College Saints Women’s Basketball team, Coach Connor Williams spends his days helping student-athletes grow and succeed. During his own rehabilitation journey, he brought that same discipline, determination, and positive attitude to Physical Therapy.

Mr. Parks’ successful recovery with Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia & Dothan

“A forklift fell and landed on my leg, breaking my femur and crushing my foot. I spent weeks in the ICU after I was stabilized and then six more weeks in the hospital before finally being sent home to begin Physical Therapy.

Walking again! Mrs. Wilson is Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mrs. Melodie Wilson as our Patient of the Month at Encore Rehabilitation – Andalusia!

Six months ago, Mrs. Wilson came to us facing a massive challenge. After undergoing surgery to remove a tumor behind her knee, nerve involvement left her with severe nerve damage and constant chronic pain. A doctor even told her that she would most likely never walk again.

Mrs. Wilson refused to accept that limitation, and so did we!

Thanks to her incredible determination and the consistent, positive encouragement of her physical therapy team, she is defying the odds. Not only is she improving every single week, but she is WALKING!

“I look forward to my visit every week,” Mrs. Wilson says. “I am always pushed to do my best! I wish I could go every day because of the atmosphere of the clinic! They care so much about their patients and I just love it there.”

Mrs. Wilson chose Encore because she heard great things about our care and had previously trusted us to care for her two sons during their high school sports days.

Ms. Varner is Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia

McKenna leaves the wheelchair behind at Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia

“In June, McKenna was injured in an ATV accident. She sustained a mid-distal femoral shaft fracture. She had immediate surgery and then spent 7 weeks in a full leg cast with mobility being very limited with the aid of a wheelchair.

“At the beginning of August, the doctors were satisfied with the progression of her fracture healing and released her to light activity and to start Physical Therapy. When she started rehab, she had very limited mobility of her leg. She was reluctant to use her leg or bear any weight on it. She depended heavily on her wheelchair.

“Thanks to the help of Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia and all of the amazing Rehab Team, McKenna has left the wheelchair behind and is back to walking without any aids!

“She has improved so much in the last two months and really has regained a great portion of the use and mobility of her leg back. With her hard work and perseverance, and the support of the Rehab Team, we know she will be back to 100% soon and enjoying all of the activities she loves! I highly recommend Encore!” ~Heather Barton, happy parent
