Happy National Occupational Therapy Month to Leah Lynn, OT, with Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville

April is Occupational Therapy (OT) Month! Today we recognize Leah Lynn!

Leah has been an Occupational Therapist for 10 years. Prior to this, she was a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for 12 years. She is from Natural Bridge and attended high school at Lynn.

Leah earned her degree at Belmont University in Nashville. In her free time she enjoys painting, fishing, crafting and traveling.

Leah’s interests in Occupational Therapy include orthopedic rehab, pediatrics, home health, inpatient rehab and working with geriatric psych patients.

When asked why she became an OT, Leah replied, “I chose Occupational Therapy as my profession because I grew up with my dad needing therapy. I saw what an impact therapy made in his life in helping him regain his independence. Occupational Therapy has provided me opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with my patients. I get to blend science and creativity together to help my patients achieve a positive and rewarding outcome.”

We are proud to have Leah Lynn on our Encore Rehabilitation Team!
