Congratulations Teri Wilson Long, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville!

Ms. Long began her recovery journey after a total knee replacement in December 2024. In July 2025, she required a revision surgery on the same knee, which made her rehabilitation process even more challenging. Through dedication, perseverance, and the support of her Physical Therapy Team, Ms. Long has made tremendous progress.

“In December 2023 I had my first knee replacement surgery and I chose Encore for my Physical Therapy. I, and others in my family, had used Encore before through the years and I knew some of the staff personally. Coincidentally, my surgeon said that is who he preferred his patients use in this area. So, two days after surgery I began my rehab journey and never regretted my decision. The staff is so friendly and personable all while being really good at their job.

“With my first knee I was terrified and didn’t know what to expect and in hindsight, I ‘babied’ it too much. But they got me through it and back to my normal life. Even on days I was struggling and feeling like a total failure, they were there always encouraging me and praising my progress. I had the second knee done last Fall and started all over again. They worked their magic and got me to my new normal with two new knees in only eight weeks this time. It was a hard journey and not always a pleasant one, but they made it easier and as enjoyable as it could be.
