We are proud to recognize Ms. Franks as our Encore Rehabilitation – Haleyville Patient of the Month! She made incredible strides overcoming balance and weakness of her lower leg.
Ms. Franks had been struggling with daily task of walking and getting out of chairs from a seated position. Like many patients with balance issues, her fear of falling was a constant concern. Her balance difficulties, combined with muscle weakness, made even the smallest activities feel overwhelming.
An individualized treatment plan was developed to help her regain independence, improve strength, and enhance balance. The plan consisted of strengthening exercises, balance training, gait training and functional movement exercises.

Brittany is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who’s been helping patients feel stronger and more confident for nearly 9 years. Originally from South Carolina, she moved to Alabama a few years ago and has been making a difference in the lives of her patients ever since!
Brittany is passionate about what she does and finds it incredibly rewarding to watch her patients reach goals they never thought possible.
She’s recently earned her Certification in LSVT BIG, a specialized program designed to help people with Parkinson’s disease improve movement and function—and she’s excited to put it into practice.
Outside the clinic, Brittany enjoys being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and serving at her church.

What is LSVT BIG?
LSVT BIG is an evidence-based, intensive physical therapy program designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease improve their movement, balance, and overall function. It focuses on amplifying movements to counteract the slow and small motions often associated with Parkinson’s.

Peyton is a Junior at Hartselle High School where he competes in Tiger Football! He plans to attend trade school for welding after graduation.

Mr. Kimbrell has shown remarkable progress following a recent total knee replacement. He is a dedicated and determined individual and has shown outstanding commitment to his recovery journey. As an older adult, the journey back to full mobility can present unique challenges but he has proven that age is no barrier to recovery!
Total knee replacement is a major procedure, especially for those later in life, but he approached it with a positive attitude and a commitment to working through the rehabilitation process. Mr. Kimbrell is now able to perform his daily activities with greater ease, from walking longer distances to climbing stairs, all while managing far less pain than before the surgery.
