Celebrating National Physical Therapy Month with Trip Garner, PT, ATC, MBA, Cert. DN!

Trip has been with Encore Rehabilitation for almost five years as the Regional Director of Central/East Alabama. Encore Rehabilitation clinics in his area include Opelika, Andalusia, Eufaula, Phenix City, Pike Road, and Reeltown.

Trip grew up in Opelika, attended Opelika High and did his undergraduate training at Mississippi College where he ran Track/Cross Country. He attended Georgia State for Physical Therapy School and then acquired his MBA at Auburn University of Montgomery. He is a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer and is also Certified in Dry Needling.

Trip enjoys helping his patients overcome their fears and return to the activities they enjoy- as independently as possible.

He and his wife, Tamera, have three children and a son-in-law. When he isn’t working, Trip can be found with his family, serving with his church, running, biking or swimming.

Paige is the Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City. She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama Physical Therapy School and has been practicing for over three years. She is Certified in Dry Needling and enjoys treating all diagnoses though she has a heart for athletes since she is a former collegiate softball player. Outside of work, Paige enjoys spending time with her husband and her sons outdoors.

Celebrating National Physical Therapy Month with Brandon Boyer, LPTA!

Brandon has been practicing as a Physical Therapist Assistant for two years. He was a Rehab Tech for three years before becoming a Licensed PTA. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Columbus State University. He received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from South University in Montgomery.

He has been married to his lovely wife for six years. They have four wonderful animals: a Golden Retriever, a Domestic Shorthair Cat, a Leopard Gecko, and a Bearded Dragon.

He attended undergraduate school at Huntingdon College and Physical Therapy School at Alabama State University.

Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and his three dogs. He also enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and cheering on the Florida Gators.

Annie Kennedy, DPT

Annie is originally from Florence, Alabama, where she attended the University of North Alabama and received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre-Professional Studies. After graduating from UNA, she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Annie has recently joined Encore as the new Clinic Director at Hayden. Before this, she was a traveling Physical Therapist. She has experience working with patients of all ages and areas of rehab and especially enjoys working with patients needing neurological rehab and post-op therapy.

Sylvia Kennedy, LPTA

Sylvia Kennedy has been with Encore Rehabilitation for five years. She graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Wallace State Community College. Since graduating, Sylvia has been dedicated to furthering her education through Wallace’s continuing education programs to expand her skill set. Sylvia is committed to providing the very best possible patient care. She has years of experience with various patient populations.

Happy National Physical Therapy Month to Lauren Luke, DPT!

Lauren is originally from Philadelphia, MS and attended Mississippi State University before graduating from Physical Therapy school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She has worked for Encore Rehabilitation for five years in outpatient rehab. Prior to Encore, she has provided physical therapy care in the hospital/skilled nursing facility setting. She is Dry Needling certified and particularly loves working with patients following a surgery.

She shares, “My favorite part of my job is getting to be a cheerleader for my patients while they work towards their goals of returning to life before an injury. I remind them of just how far they’ve come, and then celebrate with them once they return to an active life. Some of my favorite things include cheering on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, reading on my porch, going to concerts, and Chick-fil-A.”
