“I went from a walker to a cane in less than 2 weeks and then I used a cane for only 1 week. I am now comfortable without either assistive device and I am pain free!” ~ Royce Hess, happy patient
Congratulations to our Patient of the Month, Royce Hess, at Encore Rehabilitation – Haleyville! Mr. Hess came to Encore following a right hip replacement and has made incredible progress. He chose Encore Haleyville because it was close to home and he had heard great things from others in the community. We’re so thankful he trusted us with his care!
Pictured with Mr. Hess is Ashley Crisp, Physical Therapist and Bradley Bailey, Clinical Director and Physical Therapist.
We are thrilled to see Mr. Hess improving and getting back to his daily activities, pain-free and enjoying his independent lifestyle once again. Way to go, Mr. Hess!
“In June, McKenna was injured in an ATV accident. She sustained a mid-distal femoral shaft fracture. She had immediate surgery and then spent 7 weeks in a full leg cast with mobility being very limited with the aid of a wheelchair.
“At the beginning of August, the doctors were satisfied with the progression of her fracture healing and released her to light activity and to start Physical Therapy. When she started rehab, she had very limited mobility of her leg. She was reluctant to use her leg or bear any weight on it. She depended heavily on her wheelchair.
“Thanks to the help of Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia and all of the amazing Rehab Team, McKenna has left the wheelchair behind and is back to walking without any aids!
“She has improved so much in the last two months and really has regained a great portion of the use and mobility of her leg back. With her hard work and perseverance, and the support of the Rehab Team, we know she will be back to 100% soon and enjoying all of the activities she loves! I highly recommend Encore!” ~Heather Barton, happy parent
We are very proud of the progress McKenna has made. She is a very courageous young lady! We are delighted to select McKenna has our Patient of the Month at Encore Rehabilitation-Andalusia! Keep going, McKenna!

Congratulations to our Encore Rehabilitation – Hamilton Patient of the Month, Victoria Darty!
Ms. Darty recently underwent a total knee replacement and has been working hard in physical therapy to regain her strength and mobility.
She shared, “My physical therapy was tailored to my specific needs. My recovery was gradual with increases in strength and walking, which followed with a decrease in my pain. I chose Encore because of the excellent reputation within the community. Everyone is so compassionate, friendly and professional! I love my Physical Therapist, Heather Colburn!”
We are so proud of Ms. Darty’s progress and thrilled to see her moving forward with confidence and less pain. Keep up the amazing work!
