Clanton Encore Athlete of the Month, Roberto “Birdie” Abarca.

Congratulations to the Clanton Encore Athlete of the Month, Roberto “Birdie” Abarca! Roberto is 17 years old and plays football for Jemison High School. His positions in football include linebacker/kicker and he enjoys working out for his sport. He has two sibling, Maria Abarca who plays volleyball and basketball for Jemison, and Antonio Abarca who attends Jemison Intermediate school. Roberto plans to attend UAB for law school after he graduates. Keep up the good work, Roberto!

Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Steven Clark.

Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Steven Clark! Steven is senior, multi-sport athlete from Brindlee Mountain High School.  He plays Offensive and Defensive Line for the Varsity football team, Center for the Varsity basketball team and a thrower for the track team. He has been offered a full ride to Syracuse University as a DT. He has also had offers from USA, UAB, Gerogia Southern, Arkansas State and Troy. Congratulations to the Diamondhead Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month, Ariel Whavers! Ariel is a senior athlete at Hancock High School in Kiln, MS. She is a guard for the Hawks women’s basketball team (#5) and has been a Dew Elite 16U Division Champion, as well as, received the AAU “Sports for All, Forever” award. Her future plans are to walk-on to a major university basketball team and major in nursing. Good luck this season, Ariel, keep up the good work!

She is a catcher for the Lady Rebels softball team, as well as, an outside hitter for the volleyball team. Erika’s future plans are to attend the University of Montevallo and concentrate in Art. Congratulations to the Hartselle Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month, Holden Langston! Holden is a senior at Hartselle High School and a MLB for the Tigers football team (#42). He is a member of the National Honor Society, FCA, Tiger Buddies (student mentor) and a Student Ambassador at HHS. Holden was also chosen as the Player of the Week twice this football season. His future plans are to attend Miss. State or Auburn and major in Agribusiness. Good Luck during playoffs, Holden! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Kevin Sims, the Inverness Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month! Kevin is a junior at Oak Mountain High School, as well as, a multi-sport athlete! He plays cornerback for the football team, centerfield in baseball, and he is also on the track team. Throughout his multi-sport career he has torn three ACLs; however, through hard work and rehabilitation, he is able to continue playing for the Eagles. Kevin’s future plans are to attend Auburn University after graduation.  Kevin is the son of Lori & Robbie Sims. Good luck the rest of the football season, Kevin! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to the Cullman Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month, Kyle Denson! Kyle is a senior at Addison high school and a Fullback, LB for the Bulldogs football team (#28). He has had 7 touch downs, 44 tackles at LB, 70 for 353 yards rushing attempts, and 4 for 57 yards receiving. He recently had a hand in helping the Bulldogs win the playoff game 28-21 over Winston County:

“Kyle Denson led the Bulldog offense with 22 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown, while Kolby Kirk added 95 yards on 18 rushes and a touchdown.” – The Cullman Times

His sports awards consist of Trojan of the Week for his school and Athlete of the Month. He plans to attend a University on football scholarship. Birmingham, Alabama —  The Alabama Soccer Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Encore Rehabilitation, that will increase sports medicine coverage for ASA athletes.

Under this partnership, Encore will provide on-site athletic trainers at all ASA events, as well as extensive performance and injury reduction for coaches and players.encore_225x225

Alabama Soccer Association is the state’s largest soccer organization and governing body for youth soccer in Alabama on behalf of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
