Congratulations to the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Jake Gunter! Jake is a junior, multi-sport athlete at Marion County High School. He has played basketball (#2) for three years and football (#45) for one year. Jake has been to the 2012 1A Final 48 for basketball and the 2014 1A semi-finals in football. He has also received the 2013 Basketball Academic Award. After high school, Jake plans to attend a two year college degree to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. Jake is the son of Brent and Vickie Gunter. Good luck the rest of basketball season, Jake! Keep up the good work.

Two Encore Athletes in the 2015 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game.
Encore Rehabilitation is the largest, privately owned, rehabilitation company in Alabama and Mississippi; as well as, one of the leading sports medicine providers in Alabama high schools. We would like to recognize two of our school’s athletes who will be competing in the the 2015 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game today starting at 4:00 PM eastern time.
Darrell Williams, a 6’3″, senior OLB (#12), from Hoover High School, will be playing in the UA All American game today. Williams has had multiple offers to 4-year schools and chose to commit to Auburn University last May. Williams, along with the Hoover Buccaneers football team, recently won the first AHSAA 7A State Championship this past December. You can view his recruiting profile here.
Kerryon Johnson, a 6’0, 4 star, senior athlete (#3) from Madison Academy High School will also be playing in the UA All American game today. He is ranked #3 on the ESPN 300 football recruiting website and has had offers to multiple 4-year schools. Johnson also chose to commit to Auburn University last April. Fayette Clinic Athlete of the Month, Claudie Thompson.
Congratulations to the Fayette Encore Athlete of the Month, Claudie Thompson. Claudie is a 10 years old, 5th grader and plays basketball and football. He started therapy at Encore after he broke his knee cap and tore his tendons away from it during a football game accident. Claudie is now on his way to a speedy recovery and back to playing the sport he loves! Keep you the good work, Claudie!
Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Steven Clark.
Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Steven Clark! Steven is senior, multi-sport athlete from Brindlee Mountain High School. He plays Offensive and Defensive Line for the Varsity football team, Center for the Varsity basketball team and a thrower for the track team. He has been offered a full ride to Syracuse University as a DT. He has also had offers from USA, UAB, Gerogia Southern, Arkansas State and Troy. Congratulations to the Hartselle Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month, Holden Langston! Holden is a senior at Hartselle High School and a MLB for the Tigers football team (#42). He is a member of the National Honor Society, FCA, Tiger Buddies (student mentor) and a Student Ambassador at HHS. Holden was also chosen as the Player of the Week twice this football season. Congratulations to Kevin Sims, the Inverness Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month! Kevin is a junior at Oak Mountain High School, as well as, a multi-sport athlete! He plays cornerback for the football team, centerfield in baseball, and he is also on the track team. Throughout his multi-sport career he has torn three ACLs; however, through hard work and rehabilitation, he is able to continue playing for the Eagles. Kevin’s future plans are to attend Auburn University after graduation. Kevin is the son of Lori & Robbie Sims. Good luck the rest of the football season, Kevin! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to the Cullman Clinic Encore Athlete of the Month, Kyle Denson! Kyle is a senior at Addison high school and a Fullback, LB for the Bulldogs football team (#28). He has had 7 touch downs, 44 tackles at LB, 70 for 353 yards rushing attempts, and 4 for 57 yards receiving. He recently had a hand in helping the Bulldogs win the playoff game 28-21 over Winston County:
“Kyle Denson led the Bulldog offense with 22 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown, while Kolby Kirk added 95 yards on 18 rushes and a touchdown.” – The Cullman Times
