“I chose Encore Rehabilitation because they were more equipped for my needs,” shares Darrell Kimbrell of Berry, Alabama. “Spine and back surgery caused me to lose the ability to walk due to loosing all the feeling in my left leg. I am thankful to the ladies of Encore and their help because I am now able to walk with the assistance of a walker. I hope to be back to my normal activities before I am done.“

Why we walk~~
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. MS is different for everyone, and that makes it all the more challenging to solve. The first Walk MS event was in 1988, and since then more than $1 billion has been raised for research and programs to improve the lives of people living with MS. Today, there are treatments where there weren’t any before, and the dream of ending MS is becoming a reality. But there is still so much to do.
That’s why we’re walking. We’ve set an ambitious goal because we know with support from people like you, we will have a great chance at reaching it. The money raised will drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. This cause is important to us, so we hope you can do your part to help end MS forever.
Jean Stevenson shared her recent experience with Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana:
“I was having sharp pain in the left leg and it was hard for me to walk and get around. After therapy, the pain is almost gone and I can move a lot freer. I can also do my work easier. Therapy has really helped me feel better.” – Jean Stevenson
Thank you, Jean, for choosing Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana as your physical therapy provider!

Her name is Patricia but everyone knows her as PK. PK started physical therapy at Encore Rehabilitation – Foley after having hip replacement surgery. She needed rehabilitation to regain her strength and increase her ability to walk. PK came to Encore because her doctor recommended treatment at the Foley clinic and she is glad she came. After three weeks of rehabilitation, PK exclaims, “The staff are great!”
Thank you PK for being a terrific patient! Happy National Physical Therapy Month!
