Clinical Director Justin Hargett, DPT, with Patient of the Month and WWII Veteran James Feezel
Encore Rehabilitation-Decatur is very proud to announce James Feezel as Patient of the Month!
Mr. Feezel has been receiving Physical Therapy to reduce back pain and increase his mobility. He has progressed very well and has made many friends in the process. He says, “Encore Rehabilitation is convenient, impressive, modern, and friendly.”
Thank you, Mr. Feezel, for being our Patient of the Month and thank you very much for your service in the 12th Armored Division of the US Army during World War II. It has been our honor to be your rehab provider.
Physical Therapist Latoya Carson Plummer performs a Dry Needling procedure to help alleviate pain and increase movement.
Stone County Hospital Outpatient Rehab is proud to include Dry Needling to the many rehab services we provide. All of our Dry Needling Practitioners are Licensed Therapists and have received thorough training and certification in this innovative procedure.
Dry Needling helps many people with the management of pain and to increase movement. Dry Needling uses a thin monofilament needle to penetrate the skin to stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points as well as muscular and connective tissues.
What conditions can be treated?
Repetitive stress injuries
Adhesive capsulitis (Frozen shoulder)
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Low back pain
Sacroliliac joint dysfunction
Sciatic nerve pain
Tarsal tunnel syndrome
Dry Needling is covered under most insurances.
Is dry needling a safe procedure?
With proper training and knowledge of anatomy, dry needling is very safe. At Stone County Hospital Outpatient Rehab, all of our Dry Needling Practitioners are Licensed Therapists with thorough training and certification.
Clinic Director Suzanne Jarvis, PT, says, “Mrs. Ellison was referred to Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana for back and hip pain. At her job, she is required to walk, stand, and climb stairs. When Mrs. Ellison first started Physical Therapy, she was experiencing significant pain when performing these tasks at her work. Now she can walk, stand, and climb stairs without pain or difficulty. We are so proud of you, Mrs. Ellison, and all the progress you have made!“
Mrs. Ellison remarks, “I would recommend Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana. They are really good to help you with everything.”
Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana is open Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. If Physical Therapy is in your future, give us a call!
