Katina Edmonson and her recovery from covid with Encore Rehabilitation-Fayetteville

“I suffer from long haul covid and have spent the majority of the year in and out of the hospital. I had to take multiple steroids and I was on the ventilator for some time and as a result, I had some rapid weight gain. With this weight gain, my back suffered the consequences and I could barely walk unaided. I asked my doctor to refer me for Physical Therapy and my best friend sent me to Encore where I have been working hard to get to my goal recovery.” ~ Katina Edmonson, Patient of the Month, Encore Rehabilitation- Fayetteville, Tennessee

We are so proud of your progress, dedication, and hard work, Ms. Edmonson! Thank you for choosing Encore Rehabilitation- Fayetteville to be your Rehab Provider! We are happy to select you as our Patient of the Month!

After shadowing people in various professions, I realized quickly that Occupational Therapy was the perfect fit for me. I chose OT because it’s not a ‘cookie cutter’ career. Occupational Therapy is very diverse with many opportunities for growth. Everyday I get the opportunity to work with people across the lifespan to regain their independence and to live their life to the fullest. I have already found the profession of Occupational Therapy to be rewarding, challenging and filled with countless opportunities to serve others and my community. To quote a close friend, ‘I don’t go to work to make a living but to make a difference.'”
