“I began to believe I would walk again . . .”

Javen Bradley was involved in a horrible automobile accident in May 2023. He was airlifted from the accident scene to Montgomery, Alabama, where his injuries were evaluated. He was then transferred to UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. He had two surgeries for a fractured femur and ankle fusion. After his hospital stay, he came home restricted from weight bearing until he began his Physical Therapy at Andalusia Health Physical Therapy and Encore Rehabilitation. 

On his first day of therapy, he was very discouraged. He really thought he would never be able to walk again. After a few weeks of rehab, Javen began to see results and was so encouraged and loved by all the Rehab Team! He shares, “They made me feel so special! They assured me I would see great results if I continued working hard.” 

On days when Javen just didn’t think he could do anymore, the Rehab Team convinced him to keep going! He adds, “Each week, it was amazing to see just how much I had progressed. This is when I began to believe I would walk again and was very faithful to do the exercises the Rehab Team gave me to do at home. After completing three months of Physical Therapy, I was walking on my own and doing all the things I once enjoyed. I can’t thank Andalusia Health Physical Therapy and Encore enough for all they have done for me. These people hold a special place in my heart for believing in me and treating me like part of their family.”
