Baseball Player Carson Britton is Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Eufaula

We are excited to celebrate Carson Britton, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City! Carson has loved the playing the game of Baseball for 13 years. He currently plays on Russell County’s Varsity team.

When he is not on the baseball field, Carson enjoys playing golf and cornhole. In the future, he hopes to make it to the MLB.

Carson is the son of Daniel Britton.

Shamiya is a Junior at Smiths Station High School, where she competes in Basketball and Track. This year, she placed third in the Triple Jump at the AHSAA State Track Meet. After she graduates high school, Shamiya plans to major in Pre-med and become an anesthesiologist.

Ashlyn Nixon suffered from a torn labrum which required surgery and then Physical Therapy. She chose Encore Rehabilitation–Phenix City to be her rehab provider. She shares, “Encore is close to home. Paige is the Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City. She is a graduate of the University of South Alabama Physical Therapy School and has been practicing for over three years. She is Certified in Dry Needling and enjoys treating all diagnoses though she has a heart for athletes since she is a former collegiate softball player. Outside of work, Paige enjoys spending time with her husband and her sons outdoors.

Celebrating National Physical Therapy Month with Brandon Boyer, LPTA!

Brandon has been practicing as a Physical Therapist Assistant for two years. He was a Rehab Tech for three years before becoming a Licensed PTA. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Columbus State University. He received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from South University in Montgomery.

He has been married to his lovely wife for six years. They have four wonderful animals: a Golden Retriever, a Domestic Shorthair Cat, a Leopard Gecko, and a Bearded Dragon.

The Rehab Team at Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City is wearing pink to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Currently, there are over 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.

All women face the risk of breast cancer. But with early detection and diagnosis, the chance of beating breast cancer is greater than 90 percent** according to current research. Early detection includes doing monthly breast self-exams and scheduling regular clinical breast exams and mammograms.
