It’s a great day to celebrate a Crusader!

Congratulations to Holton Hartzog, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation–William Carey!

Holton is a junior at William Carey University, where he plays baseball for the Crusaders. A Business Management major, Holton is balancing college athletics with his academic goals as he works toward graduation in 2028.

Away from the baseball field, Holton enjoys hunting and spending time with family and friends.

We’re proud to recognize Holton and wish him continued success in the classroom and on the field. Congratulations, Holton, and go Crusaders!

Just in time for kickoff—Joe Harville is back in the game!

After working hard throughout his rehabilitation, Joe has been released from Physical Therapy and is ready to hit the football field for Grenada Middle School’s first game of the season!

We’re excited to recognize him as Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation–Grenada!

Joe is an 8th grader at Grenada Middle School and a two-sport athlete who plays football and baseball for the Chargers. His determination during rehab paid off, and he couldn’t be more excited to return to the field with his teammates!

The Chargers kick off their season Thursday night at 6:30 against the Clarksdale Wildcats. We’ll be cheering for Joe and the entire team!

Congratulations, Joe! We’re proud of the work you put into your recovery and LOVE seeing you back doing what you enjoy!

Tommy John surgery may have put JT Moreno on the sidelines, but it certainly hasn’t slowed down his drive!

We are excited to recognize JT as Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation–Andalusia!

A junior at Straughn High School, JT is a two-sport athlete competing in baseball and football for the Tigers. He has brought the same determination and work ethic to Physical Therapy as he does to competition, working hard throughout his rehabilitation following Tommy John surgery.

That competitive spirit has already earned JT Second Team All-Region honors in football, and his goals extend well beyond high school athletics. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Florida, major in sports medicine, and pursue a career as a sports medicine physician assistant.

When he’s not competing, training, or studying, JT enjoys working out, listening to music, and just about anything involving sports.

We are proud to celebrate JT’s hard work and excited to cheer him on as he continues his comeback! Congratulations, JT!

Congratulations to our Athlete of the Month, Ja’Lajiah Woodard!

Ja’Lajiah has been working hard at Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City as she recovers from patella surgery. Over the past three months, she has shown incredible determination and dedication throughout her rehabilitation journey.

Her physical therapy has focused on regaining knee range of motion, improving strength, and restoring function so she can safely return to doing what she loves most—playing basketball. With each visit, Ja’Lajiah continues to make great progress through strengthening exercises, mobility training, and functional activities that are helping prepare her to get back on the court.

Ja’Lajiah was referred to Encore and says she would recommend us because “Encore has great service and they work around my schedule.” We’re grateful to be part of her recovery and proud of the hard work and positive attitude she brings to every session!

Keep up the amazing work, Ja’Lajiah! We can’t wait to see you continue reaching your goals and cheering you on as you get back to the game that is your passion!

After a hamstring injury sidelined her from softball and kept her from running, jumping, and participating in other athletic activities, Brooklyn dedicated herself to recovery at Encore Rehabilitation–West Mobile.

Encore Rehabilitation – Tupelo is proud to recognize Alexia Fleming of Tupelo Christian Preparatory School as our Athlete of the Month!

Alexia is a talented freshman who competes in Cross Country, Track, and Cheerleading. Even early in her athletic career, she has already built an impressive list of accomplishments. As an 8th grader, Alexia was a member of the Cross Country State Championship Team and was also crowned the 3200M State Champion. In 2025, she continued that success as a member of the 1A Cross Country State Championship Team.

Alexia has big goals for her future. She hopes to attend college on a track scholarship and plans to major in Physical Therapy. Her dedication, work ethic, and passion for athletics make her a great example for other student-athletes.

Outside of athletics, Alexia is the daughter of Jenifer Fleming.

Tucker Cornelius wins match after receiving rehab from Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City

Congratulations to Tucker Cornelius, a wrestler at Smith Station High School on his successful Physical Therapy journey!

Tucker came to Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City with a concussion injury from a wrestling match that resulted in constant dizziness, nausea, fatigue, etc.

With the help of vestibular and balance training as well as strength and conditioning, Tucker has returned to his optimal prior level of function!

Tucker states, “I was able to rehabilitate my neck and decrease my pain, as well as improve my vision and balance that was affected by the concussion.”

Tucker competed in his first competition since the injury and won 1st Place in his division!

Tucker, we are so proud of your hard work and dedication! We are delighted to select you as Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City!

Lisa is a senior at Russellville High School where she proudly represents the Golden Tigers on the soccer field!⚽

After graduation, Lisa plans to attend Northwest-Shoals Community College before continuing her education at University of North Alabama to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. We have no doubt she will make an incredible teacher one day!

Congratulations to Brannon Turner, Athlete of the Month at Encore Rehabilitation – Dothan!

Brannon is a 10th-grade student at Geneva County High School, where he plays football, baseball, and basketball for the Bulldogs. He injured his knee while playing football and has been putting in the hard work during therapy to get back to sports.

After high school, Brannon plans to join the Air Force to help pay for college. Eventually, he hopes to pursue a career in real estate. When he’s not in school, Brannon enjoys watching sports, playing Fortnite, and golfing.

Brannon, it has been a joy helping you through your therapy and seeing your dedication to your rehab as you work to get back to doing all the things you love. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
