Congratulations to Mason Duke who was chosen as the Inverness Encore Athlete of the Month! Mason is a senior at Spain Park High School, as well as, a multi-sport athlete. He plays baseball and football for the Jags and wears the jersey numbers 12 and 21. His sports awards consist of 1st Team All State and the 2014 Hoover Metro Player of the Year. Apart from his sports career, Mason holds a 3.44 GPA and plans to attend Shelton State after graduation. Mason is the son of Jon and Kim Duke. Congratulations again, and keep up the good work!

Long Beach Clinic Athlete of the Month, Josh Borzik.

Congratulations to the Long Beach Clinic Athlete of the Month, Josh Borzik! Josh is a junior athlete at Long Beach High School in Mississippi. He has played for 4 years on the Bearcats Varsity Baseball team and wears the jersey number 4. After graduation, he wants to attend college on a baseball scholarship. Josh is the son of Louis and Dena Borzik. Keep up the good work, Josh! Good Luck in playoffs!

Citronelle Clinic Athlete of the Month, Tyler Bell.

Congratulations to Tyler Bell who was chosen as the Citronelle Clinic Athlete of the Month! Tyler is a senior, multi-sport athlete at Faith Academy in Mobile, Alabama. He is a member of the Ram’s track team and football team. Not only is he a bright student, but has a bright sports career in front of him. He has signed a NLI to Wake Forest for a football scholarship and wants to major in Sports Medicine. Keep up the good work, Tyler!

Diamondhead Clinic Athlete of the Month, Amanda-Kay Shubert.

Congratulations to Amanda-Kay Shubert who was chosen as the Diamondhead Clinic Athlete of the Month! Amanda is a freshman, multi-sport, athlete from Hancock High School in Kiln, Mississippi. She is a member of the Lady Hawks Basketball (#2) and Volleyball (#9) teams. Her awards consist of the 2013 District Basketball Champions and a State Champion for AAU. After she graduates, Amanda-Kay hopes to attend college on a basketball or volleyball scholarship and major in nursing. Amanda-Kay is the daughter of Mike and Arleen Shubert. Decatur Clinic Athlete of the Month, Natalie Frith.

Congratulations to the Decatur Clinic Athlete of the Month, Natalie Frith! Natalie is a senior, multi-sport, athlete at Decatur High School. She has played on the varsity soccer team (#11) for 5 years and has cheered for 2 years now. A few of Natalie’s awards consist of All Morgan County Tournament Team (2 years), Team MVP her junior year, and All-American/ All Star Cheerleader her senior year. Apart from sports, she has a 4.0 GPA and plans to attend the University of Alabama after graduation. Natalie is the daughter of Daniel and Kelly Frith. Keep up the good work, Natalie!

Tuscaloosa Encore Athlete of the Month, Savanna Holmes

Congratulations to Savanna Holmes who was chosen as this month’s Tuscaloosa Athlete of the Month! Savanna is a freshman, multi-sport athlete at Hale County High School in Tuscaloosa, AL. She has played softball and volleyball for three seasons now and has already won multiple awards including the 2014 ASWA Alabama Softball Player of the Year, 2014 ASWA Alabama Softball Pitcher of the Year, a AHSAA 2A State Championship and the 2014 AHSAA State All Tournament MVP. (Let us remind you she is still a freshman) After she graduates, Savannah wants to attend college on a softball scholarship and major in Athletic Training. Savannah is the daughter of Chris and Sherri Holmes. Keep up the good work, Savanna!

Oak Grove Encore Athlete of the Month, Taylor Brabston.

Congratulations to Taylor Brabston who was chosen as the Oak Grove Athlete of the Month! Taylor is a Junior at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, MS and a great athlete as well. She is a forward on the Lady Warriors Soccer team and has received the “Most Outstanding Forward” and “Most Goals Scored” awards. After she graduates, Taylor plans to attend college to major in nursing and become a surgical nurse. Good Luck Taylor, keep up the good work!

Tuscaloosa’s Weekend Warrior, Langford Sims.

Congratulations to Langford Sims who was chosen as the Weekend Warrior for the Tuscaloosa Clinic! Mr. Langford is retired from Uniroyal Goodrich and enjoys hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. He has one daughter, three grandchidren, one great grandchild, and another on the way. His daughter, who is in the medical field, recommended he come to Encore for therapy. A piece of advice from Mr. Langford, “Follow your therapist’s directions, work diligently, and stay active.”

Cullman Athlete of the Month, Josie McDonald.

Congratulations to Josie McDonald who was chosen as the Cullman Encore Athlete of the Month! Josie is a multi-sport athlete at Good Hope High School. She is a member of the Lady Raiders Softball and Basketball teams. She has a .429 batting average, 23 RBIs, 13 runs scored, 4 BBs, and 1 HBP. She has a 1.048 slugging%, 4-2B, 2-3B, 6 Homeruns and .489 OBP! She loves playing sports and spending time with family. After high school, Josie hopes to play softball in college and pursue a physical therapy degree. Good Luck the rest of this season, Josie! Keep up the good work!

Clanton Athlete of the Month, Kelsey Headley.

Congratulations to the Clanton Encore Athlete of the Month, Kelsey Headley! Kelsey is a Senior at Chilton County high school and plays varsity softball (#10). Right now, they lady Tigers are *Overall 9-8 Region 1-2 and just recently reclaimed the county championship title. Her hobbies are her game, she loves playing softball and hanging out with friends. Good luck the rest of the season, Kelsey! Finish our the season strong!
