Meet Natalie Pope, our Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation – Haleyville!

Natalie competes in Basketball as a Freshman at Phil Campbell High School. When not playing or practicing basketball, she enjoys reading and watching baseball. After graduating high school, Natalie plans to attend Vanderbilt University and pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Natalie is the daughter of Curtis and Tiffany Baker and David and Nikki Pope.

Emma is a graduating Senior at Fairview High School, where she has competed in Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball. She has been named All-Area and All-County in Basketball and Softball, as well as the All-County Tournament. Her post-graduation plans are to continue playing Basketball in college while pursuing a degree in Sports Psychology.

She loves hiking, building Lego sets, and walking at the park with her sister and dog.

Tracy is a Physical Therapist with over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, home health, and acute care. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Her favorite thing about being a Physical Therapist is the opportunity to assist and encourage others. She shares, “Two patients may have the same medical diagnosis, but each has their own particular needs. I listen to my patients to understand how their medical condition affects their life and then work with them to improve the quality of their life by addressing any limitations caused by their condition.”

Gunner is two years old and has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. He started skilled Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy at Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman when he was nine months old.

Gunner’s mom shares: “Since receiving rehab at Encore, Gunner has made excellent progress in all areas globally. He has made progress with gross and fine motor development as well as in communication and feeding development. All the staff has been so caring, and they really want Gunner to succeed.”
