Braxton is an upcoming Senior at Fayetteville High where he plays Football for the Tigers. He has been awarded All-Region twice and State Champion. He enjoys watching movies, working out playing football, Madden video games, and hiking. Braxton plans to pursue a college degree in the Business field.

Braxton is the son of Meghan and Zeke Wilson.

Spotlight: Whitney Cole, SLP, with Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman

In honor of Better Hearing and Speech Month, Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman invites you to meet Whitney Cole!

Whitney is a native of Cullman and we are very proud to have her with Encore! She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her master’s degree from Alabama A&M University. 

Whitney has almost 14 years of experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and has provided services in school settings, outpatient clinics, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. She has received VitalStim certification and has received training to complete FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) for the evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders. She has been with Encore Rehabilitation for almost a year.

Whitney is married to David Cole. Their son, Bennett, attends Cullman Middle School. She has two dogs, Mollie and Annie. Whitney enjoys hiking, mountain biking, reading, and going to concerts.

Spotlight: Rachel Lovell, Speech-Language Pathologist with Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman

In honor of Better Hearing and Speech Month, Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman invites you to meet Rachel Lovell!

Rachel has been a Speech-Language Pathologist with Encore Rehabilitation for four years and has been a service provider with Early Intervention through Encore for two years. Rachel attended Alabama A&M University where she earned both her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees. In addition to her training and work as a Speech Therapist, she is also a certified VitalStim Provider and has received training in LAMP: Words for Life. 

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, Nick, and their two dogs, Butters and Myla. 

Rachel says, “The best moments working with my patients and their families have been seeing the moment of joy when someone’s child does something new for the first time—whether it’s saying a first word, communicating with an AAC device, trying a new food, or producing a fluent sentence— it’s a privilege to be the person who helps someone better communicate and work towards a future where every child has a voice.”

Olivia is a upcoming Senior at Cullman High School where she has competes in Softball for the Bearcats. Her personal interests include photography, videography, sports broadcasting, writing, editing, TV production and spending time with family and friends. Her future plans are to pursue a Communications degree at Samford University specializing in Sports Broadcasting.  

Olivia is the daughter of Adam and Kellie Britton.

Say hello to Jesla Lamb, Bre Wilkerson, and Mariya Beaty, our Athletes of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Dothan!

These three Athletes are on the Girls Basketball Team at Dale County High School!

Jesla is a rising Senior at Dale County and enjoys playing basketball, running track, watching Netflix, and painting.  Jesla has a goal to attend UAB and become a Physical Therapist.  She began her Physical Therapy journey after having knee surgery.

Bre is a upcoming Sophomore at Dale County.  She started in Physical Therapy with Encore after hurting her ankle and knee while playing basketball.  

Mariya is a upcoming Senior at Dale County and enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and also loves drawing.  She started in Physical Therapy after having knee surgery. 

The three have all enjoyed cheering each other on while attending therapy! And they all believe Encore has great Therapists! (And we have great patients!)

Harlon Holland regains his strength after covid with Rehab at Encore Rehabilitation-Hamilton

Meet Mr. Harlon Holland, our Encore Encore Rehabilitation- Hamilton Patient of the Month!

Mr. Holland suffered with covid and was hospitalized for 35 days. He was very weak and was in need of physical therapy to regain his strength to get back to his daily activities. His doctor referred him to physical therapy after his release from the hospital. When asked why he chose Encore Rehabilitation he stated, “My wife had used Encore Rehabilitation before and had great success.”

Mr. Holland, we are so glad that you are improving and getting stronger. We are also glad you chose Encore as your physical therapy provider!

Max Russell learns to walk/stand after covid with help from Encore Rehabilitation-Hartselle

Congratulations to Max Russell, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation- Hartselle!

Mr. Russell was hospitalized due to covid. He was in the hospital for 59 days and in a coma for 5 weeks. With the use of Physical Therapy at Encore, Mr. Russell has relearned how to stand, walk and resume many daily tasks.
