Congratulations to Jake Daugherty who was chosen as the Tuscaloosa Clinic Athlete of the Month! Jake is a junior athlete at Hale County high school in Moundville, Alabama. He has been a member of the Wildcats Football team for 2 years now and wears the jersey number 62. Jake has also won the Defensive Lineman of the Year award at his school. After graduation, he plans to attend a university to major in Chemical Engineering. Jake is the son of Shane and Alison Daugherty. Keep up the good work Jake, good luck this season!

Congratulations to the Gordo Clinic Athlete of the Month, Malik Betts! Malik is a sophomore, multi-sport athlete at Pickens County High School located in Reform, Alabama. He is a member of the Tornadoes Football and Basketball team. You can find him on the field, and on the court, wearing jersey number 13 and 6 respectively. Malik has received the Basketball MVP, Best Receiver, and Most Improved awards in his sports career thus far. Malik is the son of Katrina and Carlos Betts. Keep up the good work, Malik! Congratulations to Jake Bonner who was chosen as the Haleyville Clinic Athlete of the Month! Jake is a senior athlete at Phillips High School in Bear Creek, AL. He is a member of the Bear’s basketball team and you can find him on the court wearing the jersey number 21. His impressive award count consist of the Timesdaily 1A-3A basketball Player of the Year, 1st Team All-State his junior year, All-County and All-Conference for the last 4 years, and All-Regional the last 2 years. Jake is the son of Jeff and Karen Bonner. Good luck this coming basketball season, Jake! Keep up the good work!

AL Pain Center Athlete of the Month, Joel Powell.

Congratulations to one of the funnest patients we have ever had, Joel Powell! Joel was chosen as the October Alabama Pain Center Athlete of the Month and is a multi-sport, athlete at Huntsville High School. He is a member of the Panther’s football and basketball teams. You can find him on the field, or on the court, wearing the jersey number 14 and 30 respectively. Joel has a 4.0 GPA and plans to attend with Auburn University or UAB to study orthopedic surgery. He is the son of John and Linda Powell.

Congratulations to Sue Kumaning who was chosen as the Tuscan Avenue Encore Athlete of the Month! Sue is a senior athlete at William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is a 4 year varsity member of the Lady Crusaders soccer team. Sue has a 3.3 GPA and plans to continue her education by pursuing a masters in psychology. She also aspires to play pro soccer after college. Sue is the daughter of Tag and Elisabeth Kumaning. Keep up the good work Sue! Good luck!

Congratulations to Charlie James who has been chosen as the Columbia Clinic Athlete of the Month! Charlie is a multi-sport, Junior, athlete at Columbia High School. He has played on the varsity basketball, football, and baseball teams for 4 years now. You can find him wearing the jersey numbers 10 and 26. He has a 3.5 GPA and plans to go to Mississippi State University after graduation to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine. Charlie is the son of Charlie and Belfry James. Diamondhead Athlete of the Month, Allen Sekinger.

Congratulations to Allen Sekinger who was chosen as the Diamondhead Clinic Athlete of the Month! Allen is a Sophomore at Hancock High School in Kiln, MS. He is a member of the Varsity Hawks football team and wears the jersey number 49. Allen has a 3.7 GPA and plans to attend MGCC to major in engineering. Allen is the son of Allen and Jessica Sekinger.

Congratulations to Bailey Evans who was chosen as the Vernon Encore Athlete of the Month! Bailey is a Freshman athlete at South Lamar high school. He played JV football since middle school and is now playing Varsity football for the Stallions. You can find him on the field this year wearing there jersey number 53. Congratulations to the Gordo Encore Athlete of the Month, Jayquan Williams! Jayquan is a senior, athlete at Gordo High School and is a member of the football team. You can find him on the field wearing jersey number 22 this season. After he graduates in the spring, he plans on joining the airforce. Jayquan is the son of Cheri and Jamie Williams. Hayden Clinic Athletes of the Month, Alison Pugh and Drennen Hutchens.

Congratulations to Hayden’s Encore Athletes of the Month, Alison Pugh and Drennen Hutchens! Both athletes are from Corner High School located in Dora, Alabama. Encore is now the proud providers of sports medicine and ATC coverage for the Corner High School athletic program.

We will start with the ladies first – Alison is a junior and has played on the varsity volleyball team for 2 years now. She has won the athletics award and wears the jersey number 00. After high school, she plans on continuing her education in the sports medicine field. Alison is the daughter of Russ and Heather Harding.

Drennen is a senior and plays football, basketball, and runs track for the Yellow Jackets. He has played varsity sports since the 10th grade and wears jersey #2 for football and #00 in basketball. After graduation, Drennen plans to attend a state university for Physical Therapy. He is the son of Judy Woods.
