Gunner is two years old and has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. He started skilled Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy at Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman when he was nine months old.
Gunner’s mom shares: “Since receiving rehab at Encore, Gunner has made excellent progress in all areas globally. He has made progress with gross and fine motor development as well as in communication and feeding development. All the staff has been so caring, and they really want Gunner to succeed.”

Colton is a Senior at Good Hope High School where he competes in Basketball and Track. He has been selected All-County twice; All-County Tournament Team three times; All-Area, and the Joe Shults Award Winner. His college plans include earning degrees in Business and Law. In his free time, he likes to kayak, fish, and spend time with family and friends.
Colton is the son of Rodney Lindsey and Melanie Roaden.

Bethany is a Senior at West Point High School where she competes in Softball for the Warriors! She has been selected All-County four times and All-Area three times. Her personal interests include drawing, puzzles, board games, and spending time with her dog.
Her post high school graduation plans include attending Northwest-Shoals Community College and pursuing a teaching degree.

Bailey is a Senior at Good Hope High School, where she competes in multiple sports, including Basketball, Softball, Volleyball and Track.
She has been selected for several sports honors. ~Track: All-State (2022); 2nd Place in State for Long Jump in 4A Division ~Volleyball: All-County (2029, 2021); All-Area (2020, 2021); Player of the Week for Cullman County ~Softball: All-County (2022)
Bailey plans to continue her volleyball career in college while pursuing a Journalism degree. Her interests include dancing, sports, writing, and spending time with friends and family.

Caden is a Senior at Fairview, where he competes in Football and Baseball for the Aggies. He has been selected First Team Cornerback for All-County, All-Area, and All-Region. Way to go, Caden! He likes to spend his free time hunting and fishing. His future plans include becoming an electrician.

In honor of Better Hearing and Speech Month, Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman invites you to meet Allison Allcorn, Speech-Language Pathologist!
Allison originally grew up in Snead, Alabama, where she graduated from Susan Moore High School. She has received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Faulkner University. Allison has also participated in trainings for Lamp: Words for Life and 1st 50 Words when working with Children.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, Noah, and their dog, Oakley. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends on the weekends.
Allison says, “The highlight of my career is when I am able to see my patients grow in their communication skills. It’s amazing to see the progress and excitement when patients are able to use their voice for the first time. As a child who received speech therapy for over five years, my ultimate goal to help patients reach the fullest potential to improve communication skills just like a speech therapist did in my life. I am blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community and work with amazing families while at Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman.”

In honor of Better Hearing and Speech Month, Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman invites you to meet Whitney Cole!
Whitney is a native of Cullman and we are very proud to have her with Encore! She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her master’s degree from Alabama A&M University.
Whitney has almost 14 years of experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and has provided services in school settings, outpatient clinics, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. She has received VitalStim certification and has received training to complete FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) for the evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders. She has been with Encore Rehabilitation for almost a year.
Whitney is married to David Cole. Their son, Bennett, attends Cullman Middle School. She has two dogs, Mollie and Annie. Whitney enjoys hiking, mountain biking, reading, and going to concerts.

Her future plans are to pursue a Communications degree at Samford University specializing in Sports Broadcasting.
