💚🌍 Today we join families and clinics around the world in recognizing World Cerebral Palsy Day!
Cerebral Palsy is the most common lifelong physical disability in childhood, but it does not define a child’s potential. Every child has their own strengths, joys, and ways of moving through the world — and with the right support, they can thrive.
At Encore Rehabilitation, we are honored to walk alongside children with CP and their families. Through Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, we focus on helping kids build skills, confidence, and independence so they can reach their goals — big and small!
Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and possibilities of every child with CP! 💪💚
“When I first started Occupational Therapy, I was in severe pain. Then I learned some exercises that helped me get my wrist and hand moving again. I would recommend Encore to anyone who needs rehab! I really appreciate the care I was given here. I am now able to get back to work without pain!” ~ Mary Tucker, happy patient
We are proud of all the progress Ms. Tucker has made with her rehab! She originally came to Encore after a work-related accident resulted in a fracture of her arm. She has been an amazing example of how hard work and a strong commitment to a guided treatment plan can produce amazing results.
We will certainly miss having her around the clinic. She is headed back to live the independent life she deserves! We are delighted to have Ms. Tucker as Patient of the Month with Encore Rehabilitation-Brookley Field!
Ms. Tucker is shown here with Clinic Director and Occupational Therapist Luke Ostergaard.

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer 2014. Then had a reoccurrence 2024. In April of 2024, I had surgery to remove a brain tumor (breast cancer metastasis) and suffered a stroke.
“I was left with left side weakness, numbness and unable to walk.
“When I started with Encore in January, 2025, I was unable to walk much. Now things are much better! I can walk with my walker for extended lengths and my overall balance has improved! Ethan, the Occupational Therapist, has my left arm working better and I am so glad!
“I would recommend Encore because the staff at Encore are so caring! They encourage me to do things I never thought possible. They are like family!
“I enjoy the fun exercises that Riley has me do. She always adds an element of fun to the workout. When Susan works with me, we have been known to dance to Michael Jackson!
“Thanks to Ethan, John, Katy, Hope, Susan, and Riley! I love this special group of people who have made such a difference in my life!” ~ Libby Bozeman, happy patient

“No surgery needed!” 💪 See how Kim Huber’s hard work in Hand Therapy changed everything!
Meet Kim Huber, Patient of the Month for Encore Hand and Industrial Rehab-Hoover!
What started as a playful moment with her cat, Scout, turned into something much more serious when a bite to her hand led to a severe infection. Ms. Huber was hospitalized.
The original treatment plan was for Ms. Huber to undergo Hand Therapy in preparation for a future tendon transfer surgery.
But here’s where the story takes a remarkable turn…
Through dedication and hard work with the Encore Rehabilitation Occupational Therapists, Ms. Huber made such outstanding progress that her Hand Surgeon decided she no longer needed surgery!
Today, she is back to driving, enjoying time with her husband, Bill, playing with her grandchildren, and of course, still spoiling Scout the cat.
Her story is an inspiring reminder of the power of specialized therapy, perseverance, and positivity!
We are proud to have you as Patient of the Month for Encore Hand and Industrial Rehab-Hoover, Ms. Huber! We wish you continued good health! Thank you for choosing, Encore as your Rehab Provider!

“Sometimes all you have to do is ask the questions. I thought my body was just weird and disproportioned, because no matter how much weight I lost I could see that my legs and arms would not align with the rest of my body. I talked to my doctor about it, and long story, I was diagnosed with Lymphedema due to Lipedema.
“When I started working with Jaime, the Occupational Therapist, I started to realize I wasn’t alone and many aren’t aware of Lipedema – let alone knowing there was treatment available.
“Weeks of Occupational Therapy, getting my legs and arms moving, along with lymphatic massages, compression wraps and the proper compression garments, I have not only increased my knowledge and awareness, but I have restored my confidence as well.” – Brandy Murdock, Ocean Springs Neurological Rehabilitation patient

Early diagnoses and treatment can help!
Effective Occupational Therapy treatment is available at Ocean Springs Neurological Rehabilitation to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
-Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
-Compression Therapy
-Specialized exercise programs
-Education on home programs/maintenance programs
