She has been on the Lady Lions varsity Softball and Volleyball teams for 2 years now. Kerri has a 3.5 GPA and is planning to attend college for nursing. She is the daughter of Darlene and Tim Jones. Congratulations to Hayden’s Encore Athletes of the Month, Alison Pugh and Drennen Hutchens! Both athletes are from Corner High School located in Dora, Alabama. Encore is now the proud providers of sports medicine and ATC coverage for the Corner High School athletic program.
We will start with the ladies first – Alison is a junior and has played on the varsity volleyball team for 2 years now. She has won the athletics award and wears the jersey number 00. After high school, she plans on continuing her education in the sports medicine field. Alison is the daughter of Russ and Heather Harding.
Drennen is a senior and plays football, basketball, and runs track for the Yellow Jackets. He has played varsity sports since the 10th grade and wears jersey #2 for football and #00 in basketball. After graduation, Drennen plans to attend a state university for Physical Therapy. He is the son of Judy Woods.

Alana is a senior, multi-sport, athlete at Hamilton High School, who plays Volleyball and runs track/cross country. She has played varsity sports for 4 years now wears the jersey number 7. Congratulations to the August Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Desarae Necaise! Desarae is a freshman athlete at Hancock High School in Kiln, MS. She plays volleyball and basketball for the Lady Hawks. You’ll find her on the court wearing jersey #5 during Volleyball season and jersey #3 during Basketball season. So far in her high school sports career, Desarae has received 2 Volleyball certificates, 2 trophies for basketball and travel ball, along with the “Most Active” award. Her future plans are to attend South Alabama to acquire a Radiology degree. Desarae is the daughter of Sherri Favre and Dennin Necaise.

Congratulations to Brittany Wilbourn who was chosen as the Arab Clinic Athlete of the Month! Brittany was a multi-sport athlete, playing volleyball and softball for the Lady Lions. She is now a Brindlee Mountain High School Alumni. After 3 years of varsity volleyball and 5 years of varsity softball, she has racked up quite an impressive amount of awards. The Softball All-Area, All-County, All-State, Defensive MVP 2013, and the Silver slugger in 2014 are a few to name. This fall, Brittany will attend Snead State for her ASN, and then transfer to JSU for MSN, RN Oncology. Keep up the good work, Brittany!
Congratulations to Amanda-Kay Shubert who was chosen as the Diamondhead Clinic Athlete of the Month! Amanda is a freshman, multi-sport, athlete from Hancock High School in Kiln, Mississippi. She is a member of the Lady Hawks Basketball (#2) and Volleyball (#9) teams. Her awards consist of the 2013 District Basketball Champions and a State Champion for AAU. After she graduates, Amanda-Kay hopes to attend college on a basketball or volleyball scholarship and major in nursing. Amanda-Kay is the daughter of Mike and Arleen Shubert. Congratulations to Savanna Holmes who was chosen as this month’s Tuscaloosa Athlete of the Month! Savanna is a freshman, multi-sport athlete at Hale County High School in Tuscaloosa, AL. She has played softball and volleyball for three seasons now and has already won multiple awards including the 2014 ASWA Alabama Softball Player of the Year, 2014 ASWA Alabama Softball Pitcher of the Year, a AHSAA 2A State Championship and the 2014 AHSAA State All Tournament MVP. (Let us remind you she is still a freshman) After she graduates, Savannah wants to attend college on a softball scholarship and major in Athletic Training.
