Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Braden Pyron.

Congratulations to the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Braden Pyron! Braden is a sophomore, multi-sport athlete at Marion County High School. He has been a member of the varsity Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track teams for 4 years now and wears jersey #2, #5, and #25. During his 4 year athletic career, Braden has wracked up quite an impressive amount of awards:

Football: 2x All State Football, 2x All-Conference, 2x All-State 2x All-County

Basketball: NW Region All Tournament, All-County, 2x All Conference, Final Four

Baseball: 3x All-County Honorary Mention

Track: All-County track, 2x All-Conference, 2x All-Sectional, 2x All-State, and a State Championship.

Braden will graduate in the class of 2019 and has a 4.0 GPA. He is the son of Blaine and Valarie Pyron.

Fairfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Darrell Thomas.

Congratulations to the Fairfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Darrell Thomas! Darrell is a senior, multi-sport athlete at Midfield High School in Birmingham, AL. He is a member of the Football and Basketball teams, and has played on their Varsity teams for 2 years. You can find him on the football field wearing jersey #5 and on the court wearing jersey #20. After graduation, Darrell plans to attend ASU and major in Physical Therapy. He is the son of Patricia Thomas.

Gordo Encore Athlete of the Month, Cliff Morton.

Congratulations to the Gordo Encore Athlete of the Month, Cliff Morton! Cliff is a junior athlete from Pickens County High School. He has played on the Basketball and Baseball teams for 4 years now and wears jersey #5. Cliff has won the Hustle Award for Baseball and MVP for JV Basketball. After graduation, Cliff plans to attend college to become an RN. Cliff is the son of Greg and Anissa Morton.

Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Makaya Necaise.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Makaya Necaise! Makaya is an 8th grade multi-sport athlete at Hancock Middle School. She plays on the volleyball, softball, and basketball teams and wears jersey #5 and #14. Makaya has won the 2012 Knockout and Free Throw competition. She wants to attend the University of Alabama and major in nursing. Makaya is the daughter of Miranda Necaise.

Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Benjamin Clark.

Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Benjamin Clark! Ben is a multi- sport, sophomore, athlete at Brindlee Mountain High School. He has played on the Varsity Baseball and Football teams for 3 and 2 years respectively and wears jerseys #5 and #72. He has won the All-County Football award and the Gavin Brooks Award. Benjamin is the son of Johnny and Kim Clark.

Citronelle Encore Athlete of the Month, Paige Reach.

Congratulations to the Citronelle Encore Athlete of the Month, Paige Reach! Paige is a senior athlete at Citronelle High School. She has been playing Varsity Softball for the Lady Wildcats for 4 years and wears jersey #5. Paige has obtained quite a few sports awards in the past 4 years – Bryant-Jordan Scholarship nominee, Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, and team captain for the softball team. She has a 4.43 GPA and plays to attend Alabama Southern Community College where she received a softball scholarship and will major in nursing.

Paige is the daughter of Tommy and Christy Anderson. Good luck in softball this season, Paige! We are proud of you!

Diamondhead Clinic Athlete of the Month, Desarae Necaise.

Congratulations to the August Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Desarae Necaise! Desarae is a freshman athlete at Hancock High School in Kiln, MS. She plays volleyball and basketball for the Lady Hawks. You’ll find her on the court wearing jersey #5 during Volleyball season and jersey #3 during Basketball season. So far in her high school sports career, Desarae has received 2 Volleyball certificates, 2 trophies for basketball and travel ball, along with the “Most Active” award. Her future plans are to attend South Alabama to acquire a Radiology degree. Desarae is the daughter of Sherri Favre and Dennin Necaise.
