First it was the little things, like being able to stand and walk, then . . .

Meet Brittany First!

Brittany is a professional Equestrian, a Large Animal Veterinarian who specializes in acupuncture, chiropractic and rehab, a loving mom, and wife.

She came to Encore for Physical Therapy after falling off of her horse and shattering her right hip. At the time of her accident, her son was only 8 weeks old.

Brittany came to us in a wheelchair and non-weight-bearing on her left leg. She was unable to hold/care for her child, unable to work and unable to participate in any of her usual day-to-day tasks. She couldn’t even fully dress herself without help.

Brittany has worked SOOOO Hard to get her life back. First it was the little things, like being able to stand and walk, then it was to being able to dress and bathe without help.

Next, she worked diligently to walk longer distances, squat, kneel, lunge and get back to caring for her household and all of her animals. Then finally she was able to start working again and now has she returned to handling the LARGER horses, performing all of her prior higher level job demand tasks and is able to initiate jogging!

Brittany has truly gotten her life back with 110% effort ALL THE WAY!!! Welcome back to work, chores, hobbies and loving life, Brittany! We have loved working with you! We wish you continued good health and success!

“I come from a graphic design background and enjoy bringing a detail-oriented, organized approach to keeping our clinic running smoothly.

“I love helping patients feel welcome and fully supported, working closely with our amazing team of therapists with care plans that meet each patient’s needs and fit their schedules.

Fantastic Recovery for Ms. Clements with Encore Rehabilitation-West Mobile!

From full-time oxygen and a wheelchair to walking on her own—Michelle Clements got her life back!

When Ms. Clements came to Encore Rehabilitation – West Mobile, she was recovering from a fall which resulted in a fractured arm. She also had a lung infection and post-COVID complications that left her with very limited mobility and was on continuous oxygen. After her hospital stay, she was in need of Physical Therapy for walking, balance, and general movement.

She was highly motivated to “get her life back” and she was successful!

Ms. Clements worked hard both in therapy and at home with her home exercise program. She was determined to succeed and it showed!

She is discharging oxygen-free, wheelchair and walker free! She is now assistive-device free, has good endurance, and is moving so well!

She “got her life back” with the help of her Rehab Team at Encore Rehabilitation-West Mobile! We are so proud you, Ms. Clements, wish you continued good health and much happiness!

Meet LaTonya Eaton Jackson, PTA !

An experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant, LaTonya brings both expertise and heart to her work.

Here’s what she’d like to share with you in her own words:

“I am a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with over 20 years of experience in a wide range of clinical settings. My background includes working in neurology, outpatient and inpatient hospital care, athletic therapy, geriatrics, and currently, orthopedics.

“This diverse experience has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality, personalized care to every patient. I am certified in manual therapy techniques including soft tissue massage and myotherapy.

“I am deeply committed to helping each patient achieve their highest possible quality of life.

“I have been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2012, with the majority of my experience in the outpatient setting. I am committed to providing high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation care and stay current with continuing education, emerging research, and the latest treatment techniques. I have a special interest in RockTape, Graston Technique, and most recently, Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy.

Meet Hannah Evans, PT, DPT, with Encore Rehabilitation-West Mobile!

Meet Hannah Evans, Doctor of Physical Therapy!

Originally from Alabama, Hannah was a three-sport athlete and a collegiate basketball player, earning Academic All-American honors. With a lifelong passion for movement and exercise, she pursued a career in PhysicalTtherapy to help others achieve their highest potential.

As a Physical Therapist, Hannah’s professional focus is in orthopedic rehabilitation, with a special interest in sports performance–based rehab. She works with a wide variety of patients including older adults, individuals managing chronic pain, and high-performing athletes. She utilizes advanced techniques such as Dry Needling, Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, cupping, and resistance-based exercise to reduce pain, restore function, and optimize performance.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Hannah enjoys both water and winter activities—boating, fishing, kayaking, wakeboarding, and snowboarding—as well as listening to music, continually learning new skills, and spending time with loved ones.

Now based in Mobile, AL, she is passionate about encouraging and guiding every patient to move, recover, and perform at their best!

Meet Brandon Oliver, OTS (right), an Occupational Therapy Student from Tennessee State University! He’s completing his final 12-week rotation at Encore Rehabilitation – West Mobile with his clinical instructor, Luke Ostergaard, OTR/L (left).

Teaching the next generation of practitioners is so important for our profession. This is part of what allows us to provide such great care for our patients. We welcome the opportunity to regularly have student therapists in our clinics.

Throughout Kari’s 16 years as a Physical Therapist, she has dedicated herself to enhancing the quality of life for every patient. As a resident of the West Mobile area, Kari understands the value of high-quality healthcare in her community.

Not only is she a Physical Therapist, she holds a Spinal Specialization and is certified by the McKenzie Institute, in addition to being a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist. Kari is also certified in several manual therapy techniques, including Dry Needling and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) through the Graston Institute.
