That’s why Pat Roach chose to work so hard during her Physical Therapy at Encore Rehabilitation-Enterprise.
Ms. Pat wanted to get back to taking care of her horses again. Surgery on her shoulder was just part of the process. Another big part was physical therapy. Ms. Pat was committed and diligent in her physical therapy exercises. We are so proud of her for the tremendous success she has had to reach her fullest potential.
And now she can take care of her horses again! Great job!
Ms. Pat has been selected the Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Enterprise!
Ms. Pat is shown here with PT Technician Denise Turner.

Summer time in the South means lots of heat and humidity! Here are some tips for dealing with the summer heat!
- Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids. Do not wait until you are thirsty to start hydrating. A sports drink can help replace lost salt and minerals from sweating.
- Stay indoors as much as possible and limit exposure to the sun.
- NEVER leave children or pets alone in closed vehicles. NEVER.
- Wear loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing that cover as much sun as possible. Protect your face and head with a wide-brimmed hat.
- Avoid working outside during the hottest part of the day. Take frequent breaks.
- Pay attention to what you eat and drink. Eat less of salty foods and eat more fruits and vegetables. Also smaller, more frequent meals will help.
- Seek indoor, air-conditioned activities. If you do not have air conditioning, visit public places with air conditioning like the mall, the library, or restaurants.
- Stay tuned to the local forecast on the radio, television, or internet.
- Be sure to check on family and friends who do not have air conditioning and may live alone.
- Learn the signs of heat stroke and heat exhaustion. Heat-related deaths and illnesses are preventable, but it’s important to identify the warning signs and to react swiftly and appropriately when they arise.
We wish everyone a fun and safe summer!

“I came to Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana for physical therapy. I wanted to walk, drive, and hike successfully in the coming days and years. I’ve regained some flexibility in my knee and leg so I can get in and out of the car more easily. I had a great experience and received lots of helpful attention. The clinic was convenient to my home and was recommended by friends. Now I recommend Encore because of my good experience and the excellent practical advice I received on how to continue exercise at home to be successful. “ ~ Chuck Jensen
Thank you, Chuck, for choosing Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana! We LOVE to see you move and doing the things that are important to you. We are proud of you!
