2015 Annual Encore Dinner at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

We wanted to say thank you to The University of Alabama at Birmingham for letting us host the Annual Encore Dinner last night, as well as, to all the PT and OT students who attended!

Hartselle Clinic Athlete of the Month, Luke Randolph.

Congratulations to the Hartselle Encore Athlete of the Month, Luke Randolph! Luke is a senior from Falkville High School and has been a member of the Blue Devils basketball team (#20) for three years. He has a 4.2 GPA and plans to attend Wallace State Community College for Diesel Mechanics after he graduates in the spring. Luke is the son of Yancey and Julia Randolph. Good luck the rest of basketball season, Luke! Keep up the good work.

Inverness Encore Athlete of the Month, Nicole Galvin.

Congratulations to the Inverness Encore Athlete of the Month, Nicole Galvin! Nicole is a junior at John Carroll High School and a forward on the girls soccer team. She has 3 brothers and 2 sisters and favorite subject in school is math. Nicole plans to attend Auburn University after she graduates high school. Good luck during soccer season, Nicole! Keep up the good work!

Winfield Clinic athlete of the Month, Jake Gunter.

Congratulations to the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Jake Gunter! Jake is a junior, multi-sport athlete at Marion County High School. He has played basketball (#2) for three years and football (#45) for one year. Jake has been to the 2012 1A Final 48 for basketball and the 2014 1A semi-finals in football. He has also received the 2013 Basketball Academic Award. After high school, Jake plans to attend a two year college degree to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. Jake is the son of Brent and Vickie Gunter. Good luck the rest of basketball season, Jake! Keep up the good work.

Cullman Clinic Athlete of the Month, Austin Smith.

Congratulations to the Cullman Encore Athlete of the Month, Austin Smith! Austin is a senior at Holly Pond high school and a member of the Bronco’s basketball team, who is currently ranked #1 in the state for class 3A. He is averaging 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks per game. (He can also make dunking look really easy.) After graduation, Austin plans on attending Wallace State Community College and majoring in Accounting. His parents are Brian Smith and Leslie Osborn. Good luck Austin, keep up the good work!

Russellville Encore Athlete of the Month, Courtney Baker.

Congratulations to the Russellville Clinic Athlete of the MonthCourtney Baker! Courtey is a senior at Phil Campbell high school and multi-sport athlete. She is a member of the girls basketball, softball, and cheer teams. Her future plans are to attend Northwest Shoals Community College– Phil Campbell Campus to finish her basics, then transfer to another college to major in pharmacy. Courtney is the daughter of Jarriod and Tonya Baker. Good luck the rest of your senior year, Courtney, keep up the good work!

Gulf Shores Clinic Athlete of the Month, Connor Kendrick.

Connor Kendrick is the January Athlete for the month for the Encore Gulf Shores Clinic. Connor is a 22 year old, left handed pitcher for the Tampa Yankees Minor league team and started therapy at Encore for an SI dysfunction. He was a member of the Auburn University baseball team where he was selected by the New York Yankees in the ninth round of the 2013 first-year player draft. Connor only played one season at Auburn, where he went 5-3, with a 2.13 ERA, and a team-high of 75 strikouts in 80, 1/3 innings as a junior.

Athletic Trainer saves a life- Lissa Little, Encore MSATC.

We would like to recognize and commend Lissa LittleMSATC at East and West Marion High School, for her quick response, lifesaving skills that kept a woman alive during a basketball tournament this past December. Aiding her, was Columbia’s high school ATC, Fred Worthy. Lissa is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and has worked for Encore Rehab the last three years. Thank you for all you do, Lissa!

Two Encore Athletes in the 2015 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game.

Encore Rehabilitation is the largest, privately owned, rehabilitation company in Alabama and Mississippi; as well as, one of the leading sports medicine providers in Alabama high schools. We would like to recognize two of our school’s athletes who will be competing in the the 2015 All-America High School Football Game today starting at 4:00 PM eastern time.

Darrell Williams, a 6’3″, senior OLB (#12), from Hoover High School, will be playing in the UA All American game today. Williams has had multiple offers to 4-year schools and chose to commit to Auburn University last May. Williams, along with the Hoover Buccaneers football team, recently won the first AHSAA 7A State Championship this past December. You can view his recruiting profile here.

Kerryon Johnson, a 6’0, 4 star, senior athlete (#3) from Madison Academy High School will also be playing in the UA All American game today. He is ranked #3 on the ESPN 300 football recruiting website and has had offers to multiple 4-year schools. Diamondhead Clinic Athlete of the Month, Amanda Green.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Amanda Green. Amanda is a sophomore, multi-sport, athlete at Hancock High School and a member of the basketball and volleyball teams (#24).  Her future plans are to attend The University of South Alabama and major in the medical field.  Amanda is the daughter of George and Merry Green. Keep up the good work, Amanda!
