Meet Silas Weeks, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Muscle Shoals!

Silas is a Sophomore at Muscle Shoals High School, where he competes in Soccer and Baseball. He was on the Alabama State Championship for Soccer. He has also been a member of two Arizona State Championship Teams. Silas would like to continue his soccer career at the university level.

Silas is the son of Henry and Sarah Weeks.

Ms. Pat Cox recently suffered an injury that left her with lower back issues needing physical therapy. She shares, “My doctor referred me to Encore and I am very pleased with the outcome of the therapy. Everyone was very professional and super nice!”

Faith is a Freshman at Muscle Shoals High School where she competes in Basketball for the Trojans! In the 2021-2022 season, she won the Hustle Award. She enjoys shopping, going to the beach and hanging out with friends and family.

Faith is the daughter of Casey and Craig Farris.

Griffin attends Muscle Shoals Middle School where he competes in Baseball, Basketball and Football. While participating in multiple sports, he also manages to maintain a 4.0 GPA!  Way to go!

From walker to walking independently ~ William Mitchell, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Muscle Shoals

Mr. Mitchell was involved in an accident that led him to undergo multiple surgeries on his shoulder, knee and back. When he began physical therapy, he was using a walker, but with his hard work each visit, he was able to increase his strength and endurance. Mr. Mitchell progressed to using a cane and is now walking independently!

Jackson is a Freshman at Muscle Shoals High School where he competes in Football and Wrestling. He aspires to play Division 1 football and major in Sports Medicine or Education so that he could one day coach and teach. Jackson enjoys sports, cars, fishing and playing video games in his spare time.

Celebrating National Athletic Training Month with Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Kyle Ford

Happy National Athletic Training Month to Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Kyle Ford!

Kyle has been with Encore for 6 years. Originally from Louin, MS, he currently provides sports medicine services at Muscle Shoals High School.

Kyle earned his Athletic Training degree as well as a Masters Degree in Health and Human Performance from The University of West Alabama. He has been certified for 12 years. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, gaming, kayaking and weightlifting.

When asked why he chose athletic training as a career, Kyle shares, “As a senior in high school, I tore my ACL playing football. I paid a visit to Dr Sony Rush in Meridian, MS for further evaluation and afterwards I knew I wanted a career in the sports medicine field. I chose athletic training because overall it is a career in the sports field where I can be around athletes all day everyday.”

We are proud to have Kyle on the Encore Sports Medicine Team! Thank you for all you do for Muscle Shoals High School and our community!
