Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Benjamin Clark.

Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Benjamin Clark! Ben is a multi- sport, sophomore, athlete at Brindlee Mountain High School. He has played on the Varsity Baseball and Football teams for 3 and 2 years respectively and wears jerseys #5 and #72. He has won the All-County Football award and the Gavin Brooks Award. Benjamin is the son of Johnny and Kim Clark.

Monroeville Encore Athlete of the Month, Lane Powell.

Congratulations to the Monroeville Encore Athlete of the Month, Lane Powell! Lane is a junior multi-sport athlete at Monroe Academy. He has been playing varsity football and baseball for 3 years now and wears jersey number 8. Lane has been coming to our clinic for physical therapy on his arm. He chose Encore because of his good relationship with our PT, Matt Moorer, and past experiences.

Lane hasn’t let his injury stop him from working and striving to become a better athlete– he just received his first college scholarship offer to play baseball and is waiting to see others offers to make a college choice.  Keep up the good work, Lane! Proud of you!!

Cullman Encore Athlete of the Month, Tyler Rice.

Congratulations to the Cullman Encore Athlete of the Month, Tyler Rice! Tyler is a Senior, multi-sport athlete at Cold Springs High School in Bremen, AL. He has played Baseball for 6 years, Basketball for 4 years, and Football for 2 years. You’ll find him wearing jersey numbers 17 and 11. Tyler came to us after he tore his right and left ACL in a spring game last year. He wasn’t able to play any football this past season; however, for his Football senior night game, they let him dress out and play for one snap. Then last  December, he got cleared to play baseball.

His hard work has payed off and he has quite a few sports awards, including the Baseball All-County award for the past 3 years and the All-Area award, Basketball Area Championship for the past 3 years and the County Championship awards, as well as the Football All-County award. After Tyler graduates, he plans to attend Wallace State for 2 years and then transfer to UAB to become a nurse practitioner. We’re proud of you Tyler!

Isaac is a freshman, multi-sport athlete from Lamar County High School. He has been a member of the football, basketball, baseball and track teams for 3 years now and wears jersey number 22. His sports awards consist of All-County Football, WAC- Football Offensive player of the Week, and Bulldog Athlete of the Week. After he graduates in 2019, he plans to attend UNA for 2 years and then transfer to University of Alabama to major in Physical Therapy. Isaac is the son of Tony and Janet Allen.

Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Sydney Watson and Jackson Tavel.

Congratulations to the Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Sydney Watson and Jackson Tavel. Sydney and Jackson are athletes at Corner high school in Dora, Alabama.

Sydney is a Senior on the Lady Yellow Jackets softball team and has played on varsity for 3 years. She was named the CHS 2015 Pitcher of the Year and you can find her on the diamond wearing jersey #27. Sydney has a 4.25 GPA and has signed to play softball with Martin Methodist College while majoring in Physical Therapy. She is the daughter of Doug and Meredith Watson.

Jackson is also a Senior and plays on the Yellow Jackets Baseball team. He has been on the varsity team for 4 years and wears jersey #7. During his baseball season, he was awarded the 5A State Pitcher of the Year for CHS. Jackson has a 3.5 GPA and has signed an NLI with Ole Miss for a baseball scholarship. He is the son of Janna and Scott Travel.

Congratulations to the Hamilton Encore Athletes of the Month, Brady Stults and Cole Reed! Both students are multi-sport athlete from Hamilton High School.

Brady Stults is a Junior with a 4.1 GPA. She has played Varsity Softball and Basketball for 5 and 3 years respectively. A few of her sports awards consist of All-Area softball 2014, 2014-2015 Basketball Defensive Player, 2014-2015 Hustle award in Basketball, All WAC Basketball 2015-2016, and 2012-2013 All-County Softball. After she graduates high school, she plans to attend a 4 year university and major in the medical field. Brady is the daughter of Joey and Lisa Stults.

Cole Reed is a Sophomore  with a 4.2 GPA. He has been a member of the Varsity Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Track teams for a year and a half now. He wears jersey number 9 in Football and Baseball, and number 23 in Basketball. His sports awards consist of the All WAC, All-County, and the Times Daily 4A-7A Big Play Award in Football. After graduation, he plans to attend college to major in engineering. Cole is the son of Mike and Michelle Reed.
