Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Brantly Bonds and Sam Knowlton.

Congratulations to the Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Brantly Bonds and Sam Knowlton! Both Brantly and Sam are multi-sport athletes from Corner High School in Dora, AL.

Brantly Bonds is a freshman and has been a member of the Lady Yellow Jackets Basketball and Softball teams for 1 year. She wears the jersey #3 in basketball and jersey #8 in softball. Brantly has a 4.0 GPA and plans to play college softball while pursuing a degree in Orthodontics. She is the daughter of Brandon and Kim Bonds.

Sam Knowlton is a Sophomore and has played Varsity Basketball and Baseball for 2 years now. You can find him on the court wearing jersey #14 this season. Sam has a 4.17 GPA and plans to pursue a college degree in Pharmacy after high school. He is the son of Will and Jennifer Knowlton.

Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Branden Mendez.

Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Branden Mendez! Branden is a multi-sport, Freshman athlete at Brindlee Mountain High School in Guntersville, AL. He has been on the varsity Cross Country team for 1 year, the Track and Field Team for 2 years, and has now started playing on the the Lions Varsity Basketball team. You will be able to find him on the court wearing the jersey number 40 this season. Branden has also won the All Country Cross Country award during his sports career. He is the son of Alfredo and Blanca Ruiz.

Oak Grove Encore Athlete of the Month, Kourtney Brown.

Congratulations to the Oak Grove Encore Athlete of the Month, Kourtney Brown! Kourtney is a 8th grade athlete at Oak Grove high school. She has been a member of the varsity Basketball and Volleyball teams for 2 years now and wears the jersey #32, #1, and #10. Kourtney’s future plans are to attend the University of Tennessee or Baylor and major in Physical Therapy or Athletic Training. She is the daughter of Kim and Carol Brown.

Congratulations to the Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Payton McCaleb and Daniel McCain! Both athletes are from Corner high school in Dora, Alabama.

Payton McCaleb is a multi-sport athlete in the 11th grade. She has been a member of the Lady Jacket’s Varsity Cross Country, Track, and Basketball teams for 3 years now. She has a 4.2 GPA and plans to attend college to major in medicine. Payton is the daughter of Kevin and Cindy McCaleb.

Daniel McCain is a senior athlete on the Yellow Jackets Cross Country and Track teams. He has been on the varsity team for 4 years now and has won many awards including 3rd place in the 2013 AHSAA State Track Meet, Top Five in the Cross Country County Meet (9th-12th), County MVP 2015 Outdoor Track. After graduation he plans to attend UAB to major in Civil Engineering. Daniel is the son of Chris and Kristie McCain.

Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Keath Eads.

Congratulations to the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Keath Eads! Keath is a junior athlete at Winfield City High School. He is a member of the Pirates Varsity Basketball, Baseball and Football teams for 3 years now and wears the jersey # 24. Keath has a 3.1 GPA and plans to attend Auburn University, after graduation, to obtain an Electrical degree. He is the son of Kevin and Shawna Eads. Keep up the good work, Keath!

She is a member of the Hawks Middle School Basketball team and wears the jersey # 20. Her future plans are to go to college and become a coach. Kayde is the daughter of Schran and Stephanie Ladner. Congratulations to Devne Daniel and Brooke Sellers who were chosen as the Hayden Clinic Athletes of the Month!

Brooke Sellers is a junior athlete at Corner High School. She has been a member of the Lady Jackets Cheerleading team for 3 years now. Brooke has a GPA of 4.25 and plans to attend the University of Alabama to major in nursing. She is the daughter of Corey and Leigh Ann Sellers.

Devne Daniel is a multi-sport, junior, athlete at Corner High School as well. He has been a member of the varsity Yellow Jackets football, basketball, and baseball teams for three years now and wears the jersey numbers 1, 25, 11, and 12. Devne has a GPA of 3.5 and plans to attend college to major in education. He is the son of Tommie and Joey Daniel.

Decatur Clinic Athlete of the Month, Hannah Flack!

Congratulations to Hannah Flack who was chosen as the October, Decatur Encore Athlete of the Month! Hannah Flack is a senior, multi-athlete at West Morgan High School in Trinity, Alabama. She has played on the Lady Rebels Volleyball team for three years, as well as the basketball team. You can find her on the court wearing jersey number 25 and 10, respectively. Hannah is the daughter of Joe and Cynthia Flack. Keep up the good work, Hannah! Good luck this season!

Vernon Clinic Athlete of the Month, Andrew Norton.

Congratulations to Andrew Norton who was chosen as the Vernon Encore Athlete of the Month! Andrew is a junior, multi-sport, athlete at Lamar County high school. He has played on the Bulldogs Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams for 2 years now. You can find him on the field, on the court, or on the diamond wearing jersey number 12. A few of Andrew’s awards consist of the Highest Academic Average for Baseball, All-County Basketball B-Team 2014-2015, and All-WAC Basketball B-Team 2015. Andrew is the son of Greg and Karla Norton.
