Congratulations to Kellin Cuevas who was chosen as the Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month! Kellin is a sophomore at Hancock High School in Kiln, MS. He is a multi-sport athlete- playing football (#72) and basketball (#22) for the Hawks. He has recently proven his athleticism in receiving the “Most Athletic” award. After Kellin graduates, he plans to attend Michigan State to obtain a degree in Engineering. Kellin is the son of Anthony and Pamela Cuevas.
Congratulations to Tori Sanders and Kolby Wall who were chosen as a double edition of the Arab Clinic Athlete of the Month! Tori is a junior and Kolby is a senior at Brindlee Mountain High School. They are both multi-sport athletes and have done well in their sports career.
Tori has been playing on the Lady Lions varsity basketball team for 3 years and the softball team for 4 years. A few of her sports awards consist of All-County Basketball (2 years), All-County MVP for Softball, 2015 AL State Power Lifting Best Squat Overall Weight Class and 3rd place on the girls team. Apart from her sports awards, she has a 3.9 GPA. Tori is the daughter of Helen and Leslie Sanders.
Kolby has been a member of the varsity Lions Football, Track, and Weightlifting teams for 4 years now and wears the jersey number 27. His sports awards consist of All-County Linebacker and 1st Place in the 2015 Alabama State Powerlifting competition for his weight class. He has a 3.3 GPA and plans to attend Wallace State Community College for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year college to major in Physical Therapy. Kolby is the son of Jonathan Wall.

Congratulations to Rilee White who was chosen as the Cullman Clinic Athlete of the Month! Rilee is a 17 year old, Junior at Cold Springs high school and is an outstanding multi-sport athlete as well. She is a member of the Lady Eagles softball and basketball teams, and wears the jersey number 18. During her sports career at Cold Springs, she has racked up quite a lot of accomplishments and awards. A few of her top awards consist of Cullman County All-County Player, All-Area Player, Cullman County “Pitcher of the Year”, Elite 8 Tourney, WKUL All Performance Team, but there are many more. Her batting average this year is .531 with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs, 16 runs scored and a 1.40 ERA with 43 strikeouts! WOW!
Apart from her sports career, Rilee excels in her classes with a 3.9 GPA and is attending Snead State after graduation. She is the daughter of Jason and Shannon White. Keep up the good work, Rilee! Good luck your senior year!

He is a member of the Wildcats Baseball and Basketball teams that just finished up a great season. After graduation, he plans to attend Alabama A&M in the fall and major in Dentistry. Congratulations to the Gordo Clinic Athlete of the Month, Nicholas Pounders! Nicholas is a freshman at Gordo High School and has played multiple sports for the Junior high and high school teams. He has pitched and played first base for the Baseball team for 2 years, football for 3 years (in Jr. High), and Basketball for 3 years on the Jr. High team and 1 year on varsity team. A few of NIcholas’s awards consist of pitching 17 and 2 his last two years, playing with Baseball Country in Tuscaloosa who won the Post 34 State Championship two years ago, and he is currently playing in the semi-finals with Gordo High- hoping for a state championship! Apart from his thriving sports career, he also has a 3.9 GPA in high school. Nicholas is the son of David and Diane Pounders. Keep up the good work, Nicholas!

She is a member of the Lady Raiders Softball and Basketball teams. She has a .429 batting average, 23 RBIs, 13 runs scored, 4 BBs, and 1 HBP. She has a 1.048 slugging%, 4-2B, 2-3B, 6 Homeruns and .489 OBP! She loves playing sports and spending time with family. After high school, Josie hopes to play softball in college and pursue a physical therapy degree. Good Luck the rest of this season, Josie! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations to Kirby Barkley for being chosen as the Long Beach Clinic Patient of the Month! Kirby is a teacher’s assistant for the special education department at Quarles Elementary School. He came to Encore after he tore his ACL a couple months ago and has been in rehab at for 3 months now. Kirby enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, basketball, and paddle-boarding.
When asked why he chose Encore for his physical therapy provider he said, “Everyone I asked said Karen Merkle was the best PT there has ever been. I want to get back to 110%.” Kirby is making great progress in his therapy and will be 110% in no time!
Congratulations to Jailen Langham on being chosen as the March Encore Athlete of the Month for the Providence Clinic! Jailen is a junior athlete at Baker High School. He is a Point Guard on the Varsity Boys basketball team and wears the #12 jersey. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Alabama or Florida A&M and pursue a pharmacy degree. Jailen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Houston Langham. Keep up the good work Jailen!

She has played on the Lady Lions varsity basketball team for 4 years and was awarded All Area two years in a row. She is also a member of the 1000 point club. After graduation, Haley plans to attend Wallace State to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. Haley is the daughter of Cerett Morrow and David Flack.
Congratulations to Logan Bradford who is the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month! Logan is a junior, multi-sport athlete at Winfield High School. He has been a member of the Pirates varsity basketball (#3) and baseball (#14) teams for four years now. Throughout his sports career, he has achieved multiple awards including Most RBIs and Most On Base Percentage in baseball, as well as, Mr. Hustle ’13-’14 in basketball. Apart from his sports achievements, Logan has a 4.0 GPA and plans to play baseball at Mississippi State while majoring in engineering. Logan is the son of Tim and Michelle Bradford.
