Job Shadow Day with Dothan Tech and Encore Rehabilitation-Dothan

The future is bright! Encore Rehabilitation had the honor of having Hannah Cooper and Shaliyah Walker at our Dothan clinic last week. They are two students from Dothan Tech that have an interest in the field of physical rehabilitation.

While with us, the ladies viewed an evaluation, learned the differences between Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy and observed about rehab treatments with post-surgical patients. 

Thank you, Dothan Tech, for giving us the opportunity to share our passion for our professions! We were delighted to have Hannah and Shaliyah with us!

Happy Times with Jack at Encore Rehabilitation-Opelika

We are so excited to announce Jack Rafferty as Patient of the Month at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road! 

Jack is originally from Northborough, Massachusetts, but has had a few physical setbacks while attending Auburn University. 

When asked about his experience with Encore Rehabilitation, Jack said, “I chose Encore because the physical therapists gave me the best chance to recover and made me comfortable. I am currently having therapy done for ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair in one knee. I also have a torn ACL in my left leg, and Encore has been able to effectively treat both without issue. Mallory is the GOAT (greatest of all time)!”

Jack always brings an excited energy to his Physical Therapy appointments, and has even sang “Happy Birthday” in Polish to his therapist.

Baseball Player Carson Britton is Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Eufaula

We are excited to celebrate Carson Britton, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City! Carson has loved the playing the game of Baseball for 13 years. He currently plays on Russell County’s Varsity team.

When he is not on the baseball field, Carson enjoys playing golf and cornhole. In the future, he hopes to make it to the MLB.

Carson is the son of Daniel Britton.

Ballerina Cate is Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road

Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road is pleased to select Cate Lassiter as Athlete of the Month!

Cate is a Freshman at Pike Road School where she competes in softball for the Patriots.

In addition to being an athlete at her school, Cate has displayed great commitment in the ballet studio for 10 years. Her hard work has earned her various production roles, as well as a scholarship from the Alabama Dance Council.

Cate is the daughter of Neal and Tori Lassiter.

Riley received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Lurleen B. Wallace Community College. She is also a graduate of Straughn High School.

Riley and her husband live in Andalusia and enjoy spending time with their dogs and family. Riley joins any activity that includes being outdoors.

**WELCOME TO OUR REHAB TEAM: Our new Speech-Language Pathologist, Evelyn!**

Evelyn received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and her master’s degree at Jacksonville University. She brings a wealth of healthcare experience from skilled nursing facilities, pediatrics, schools, and the NICU.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Bella. Her hobbies include boating, traveling, and attending festivals.
