Meet Jesalyn Dotson, our Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville Athlete of the Month!

Jesalyn is Sophomore at Winston County High School. She is on the volleyball, softball and track teams. Jesalyn plans to enter the Air Force upon high school graduation! When she is not participating in high school athletics, she enjoys hiking and interior design.

Jesalyn is the daughter of Jocelyn Batchelor.

Meet Lynn Winters, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville!

Ms. Winters began having shoulder issues that were affecting her quality of life. Simple tasks like lifting, reaching, and even sleeping became agonizing and challenging. She had surgery to repair her rotator cuff tear and chose Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville to restore mobility and function within her shoulder.

Gradually, range of motion improved, pain diminished, and everyday tasks once again became manageable. Through a combination of targeted exercises, hands-on therapy, and personalized treatment plans, Ms. Winters was able to rebuild her strength and restore function to her shoulder.

Join us in congratulating Occupational Therapist Kaitlyn Hodge on becoming a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS)!

Her new certification includes comprehensive hands-on training with the complexities of stroke rehab. She has received in-depth training on effectively and safely helping patients recover from strokes to achieve their best quality of life. Kaitlyn has a passion for helping patients and their families that have experienced neurological conditions.

Meet Michael Shotts, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville!

Mr. Shotts suffered an ACL tear and had surgery to repair his ACL. When he was ready for rehab, he asked his medical team for recommendations on a rehab clinic. He shares, “Due to my age and the type of surgery, I was looking for the best place to perform my physical therapy. Meet Charles Smith, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville!

Over the last several months, Mr. Smith has had multiple joint replacement surgeries, two for the hips and two for the knees. Natalie competes in Basketball as a Freshman at Phil Campbell High School. When not playing or practicing basketball, she enjoys reading and watching baseball. After graduating high school, Natalie plans to attend Vanderbilt University and pursue a career in Physical Therapy.

Celebrating Occupational Therapy Month with Tracy Hyde with Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville

We would like to recognize Tracy Hyde!

Tracy is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and provides Occupational Therapy Services to Haleyville City Schools, Phillips Elementary and High School in Marion County as well as Lakeland Community Hospital, Northwest Home Health and Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville.

Tracy obtained her degree from Wallace State Community College, has been practicing for nearly 12 years, and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for 10 years.

She is married and has three children. Tracy enjoys spending time with family and friends, road trips, flowers, the beach, naps, and watching her kids in their extra-curricular activities.

Her favorite part of Occupational Therapy is helping people to reach their goals and become the best version of themselves.

Tracy says, “This is such a rewarding field, and I’m blessed to be a part of it!”
