Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Kailyn Childress! Kailyn is in 7th grade and is a multi-sport athlete at Brindlee Mountain Middle School. She is on the Cross Country, Basketball, and Track teams. Kailyn has been on the varsity teams for a year now and wears jersey #1. She has won an All State XC title and Overall 1st Place at Sectionals. Kailyn is the daughter of Steven and Traci Childress.

Long Beach Encore Athlete of the Month, Anastasia Thibodeaux.

Congratulations to the Long Beach Encore Athlete of the Month,  Anastasia Thibodeaux. Anastasia is a senior athlete at Long Beach High School in Mississippi. She has been a member of the Varsity Lady Bearcats Cross Country and Track teams for 6 years now. Anastasia has built up quite an impressive awards list during her high school sports career: Cross Country MVP for 4 years in a row, 4x District Champion in Cross Country,  Cross Country All-State runner  for 5 years, and made top 3 in the State High Jump event.

After graduation next spring, Anastasia plans to run cross country and track in college while obtaining her degree in communications. She is the daughter of Katherine and Joseph Thibodeaux. Keep up the good work, Anastasia, and good luck your senior year!

Fairfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Dahlia Hendon.

Congratulations to the Fairfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Dahlia Hendon! Dahlia is a senior, multi-sport athlete at Fairfield High Preparatory School. She has been a member of the varsity Lady Tiger’s Basketball, Track, and Softball teams for 2 years now. Her sports awards consists of the 2015 AHSAA 5 A State Finals, Outdoor Track 100M Dash, 400M Dash, 100M Relay, and Basketball “Pride and Supreme Dedication” awards. After graduation this Spring, Dahlia plans to attend Bethune-Cookman University to major in Biology. Dahlia is the daughter of Denisha Hendon.

Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Chloe Moseley and Dustin Wood.

Congratulations to the Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Chloe Moseley and Dustin Wood! Chloe and Dustin are athletes from Corner High School in Dora, Alabama.

Chloe Moseley is a Junior athlete who runs Indoor and Outdoor Track for the Lady Yellow Jackets. She has been on the varsity team for 2 years now and hopes to run track on the college level after she graduates. Chloe has a 3.8 GPA and plans to major in dentistry. She is the daughter of Niki and Chuck Hollis.

Dustin Wood is a multi-sport Senior athlete on the Yellow Jackets Wrestling and Football teams. He has played varsity for 4 years now and wears jersey number 27. He has won the the Lunch Box player of the Week, 4th at County, and has been the wrestling team captain for 3 years. After high school, Dustin plans to attend Troy University and study nursing. He is the son of Sandi and Chris Moore, and Davis Wood.

Decatur Encore Athlete of the Month, Parker Sparkman.

Congratulations to the Decatur Encore Athlete of the Month, Parker Sparkman! Parker is a Senior, multi-sport athlete from Decatur Heritage Christian Academy. He has been on the Varsity Eagles Football, Baseball, and Track teams for 5 years now and wears jersey number 73 and 19. His awards consist of the 2014 and 2015 All-Area Team (OL and MLB). Parker has a 3.0 GPA and plans to attend college to major in Business/Accounting and play on the football or Track and Field team. He is the son of Jerry and Heather Sparkman.

Keep up the good work, Parker! Good luck this Baseball and Track season!

Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Branden Mendez.

Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Branden Mendez!  Branden is a multi-sport, Freshman athlete at Brindlee Mountain High School in Guntersville, AL.  He has been on the varsity Cross Country team for 1 year, the Track and Field Team for 2 years, and has now started playing on the the Lions Varsity Basketball team.  You will be able to find him on the court wearing the jersey number 40 this season.  Branden has also won the All Country Cross Country award during his sports career.  He is the son of Alfredo and Blanca Ruiz.

Congratulations to the Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Payton McCaleb and Daniel McCain! Both athletes are from Corner high school in Dora, Alabama.

Payton McCaleb is a multi-sport athlete in the 11th grade. She has been a member of the Lady Jacket’s Varsity Cross Country, Track, and Basketball teams for 3 years now.  She has a 4.2 GPA and plans to attend college to major in medicine.  Payton is the daughter of Kevin and Cindy McCaleb.

Daniel McCain is a senior athlete on the Yellow Jackets Cross Country and Track teams. He has been on the varsity team for 4 years now and has won many awards including 3rd place in the 2013 AHSAA State Track Meet, Top Five in the Cross Country County Meet (9th-12th), County MVP 2015 Outdoor Track.  After graduation he plans to attend UAB to major in Civil Engineering. Daniel is the son of Chris and Kristie McCain.

Hayden Clinic Athletes of the Month, Alison Pugh and Drennen Hutchens.

Congratulations to Hayden’s Encore Athletes of the MonthAlison Pugh and Drennen Hutchens!  Both athletes are from Corner High School located in Dora, Alabama.  Encore is now the proud providers of sports medicine and ATC coverage for the Corner High School athletic program.

We will start with the ladies first – Alison is a junior and has played on the varsity volleyball team for 2 years now. She has won the athletics award and wears the jersey number 00.  After high school, she plans on continuing her education in the sports medicine field. Alison is the daughter of Russ and Heather Harding.

Drennen is a senior and plays football, basketball, and runs track for the Yellow Jackets.  He has played varsity sports since the 10th grade and wears jersey #2 for football and #00 in basketball.  After graduation, Drennen plans to attend a state university for Physical Therapy.  He is the son of Judy Woods.

Congratulations to Alana Loughrige who was chosen as the Hamilton Clinic Athlete of the Month! Alana is a senior, multi-sport, athlete at Hamilton High School, who plays Volleyball and runs track/cross country. She has played varsity sports for 4 years now wears the jersey number 7. Alana is the daughter of Karin Holliday. Keep up the good work Alana and good luck during volleyball season!

Arab Encore Athletes of the Month, Tori Sanders and Kolby Wall!

Congratulations to Tori Sanders and Kolby Wall who were chosen as a double edition of the Arab Clinic Athlete of the Month! Tori is a junior and Kolby is a senior at Brindlee Mountain High School. They are both multi-sport athletes and have done well in their sports career.

Tori has been playing on the Lady Lions varsity basketball team for 3 years and the softball team for 4 years. A few of her sports awards consist of All-County Basketball (2 years), All-County MVP for Softball, 2015 AL State Power Lifting Best Squat Overall Weight Class and 3rd place on the girls team. Apart from her sports awards, she has a 3.9 GPA. Tori is the daughter of Helen and Leslie Sanders.

Kolby has been a member of the varsity Lions Football, Track, and Weightlifting teams for 4 years now and wears the jersey number 27.  His sports awards consist of All-County Linebacker and 1st Place in the 2015 Alabama State Powerlifting competition for his weight class. He has a 3.3 GPA and plans to attend Wallace State Community College for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year college to major in Physical Therapy. Kolby is the son of Jonathan Wall.
