Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Krishanna Leonard receives grant

Krishanna Leonard, LAT, ATC, was a recipient of the 2022 ALATA 10+ Year Member Opportunity Grant! This $1000 grant will be used for scholar athletes at AH Parker High School where Ms. Lenonard is a Health Science Teacher and Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer. We are very proud of Krishanna and the healthcare and education she provides. She always finds ways to give back to her community. Congratulations, Krishanna!

The grant was awarded at the 2023 ALATA (Alabama Athletic Trainers’ Association) Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner on Friday, June 2, 2023 in Trussville.

Tracy is a Physical Therapist with over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, home health, and acute care. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Her favorite thing about being a Physical Therapist is the opportunity to assist and encourage others. She shares, “Two patients may have the same medical diagnosis, but each has their own particular needs. I listen to my patients to understand how their medical condition affects their life and then work with them to improve the quality of their life by addressing any limitations caused by their condition.”

Celebrating Occupational Therapy Month with Tracy Hyde with Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville

We would like to recognize Tracy Hyde!

Tracy is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and provides Occupational Therapy Services to Haleyville City Schools, Phillips Elementary and High School in Marion County as well as Lakeland Community Hospital, Northwest Home Health and Encore Rehabilitation-Haleyville.

Tracy obtained her degree from Wallace State Community College, has been practicing for nearly 12 years, and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for 10 years.

She is married and has three children. Tracy enjoys spending time with family and friends, road trips, flowers, the beach, naps, and watching her kids in their extra-curricular activities.

Her favorite part of Occupational Therapy is helping people to reach their goals and become the best version of themselves.

Tracy says, “This is such a rewarding field, and I’m blessed to be a part of it!”

Beverly is married and has three children and nine grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, kayaking, and singing with the worship team at church.

As a COTA, Beverly aims to provide her students with quality care in an interactive environment and develop creative treatment approaches.
