Ergonomic Training at Shwinco with Encore Rehabilitation-Dothan

Encore Rehabilitation-Dothan was proud to participate in Ergonomic Training recently at Shwinco Architectural Products,  LLC. 

It was our pleasure to help educate the employees of Shwinco of the importance of proper ergonomics to decrease the risk of work place injuries. Ergonomic Training is a critical component used to minimize the risk of work place injures caused by poor technique or unnecessary repetitive movement. This training demonstrates the need for proper body mechanics that target large muscle groups to reduce strain and help maintain a quality lifestyle, whether at work or at home. 

The training was conducted by Encore Rehabilitation Regional Director Jeremy Boswell. Jeremy is pictured here with Shwinco employees: Human Resources Director Heather Tindell, Safety Director Sarah York, and Plant Supervisor Bill Meade.

Coming back after covid, pneumonia, & a stroke, Mr. Box is Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Winfield!

Back to skeet shooting, dancing, and performing the “Metchie Move”, we are proud to introduce you to C.W. Box, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation – Winfield!

Mr. Box, longtime pastor in the Winfield area, states, “I was in the hospital in January with covid pneumonia and then again in February for pneumonia. I was so weak I could hardly go. Sometime during these illnesses, I had another stroke that effected my left side.”

When asked why he chose Encore Rehabilitation for his physical therapy he stated, “My son had used Encore Rehabilitation previously and I was familiar with your service and I knew I would get the best help.”

Thank you, Mr. Box, for trusting us with your healthcare needs. We are so happy that you have been able to get back to skeet shooting and dancing at your grandkids weddings. He can be seen on social media from time to time performing the “Metchie Move.”

Jaida is a Senior at Enterprise High School where she competes in Basketball and Track for the Wildcats. She has received the Super 12 award in both 2021 and 2022. She has also earned recognition for the highest scoring average, Most Rebounds of Offense award, All-State Honorable Mention and Shot Put School reward.  Her future plans are to continue playing basketball on the college level while she pursues a degree from Enterprise State Community College.

Welcome to Annie Kennedy, PT, DPT, Clinic Director with Encore Rehabilitation-Hayden

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. is pleased to introduce Annie Kennedy, Physical Therapist and the new Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Hayden!

Annie is originally from Florence, Alabama where she attended the University of North Alabama and received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre-Professional Studies. After graduating from UNA, she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Annie was a traveling Physical Therapist before joining Encore Rehabilitation in Hayden. She says, “I have a passion for neuro and post-op rehab; however, I have experience in many areas of rehab working with a variety of age groups. I have only been at Encore Rehabilitation-Hayden for short time, but I have truly enjoyed getting to know the Hayden community!”
