Polymyositis and Physical Therapy: Christin Frazier finds help at #EncoreRehab Opelika

We are so proud to share the inspiring story of Christin Frazier, our Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Opelika!

 Christin was recently diagnosed with polymyositis, an autoimmune disease that attacks the muscles. In August, she began what would be four long months of multiple hospital stays. Through all of this adversity, Christin became weak and unable to walk or do everyday tasks on her own. 

Christin shares, “I had heard great things about the relaxed and supportive environment at Encore. Now that I’ve spent time there, Encore has been a crucial part of helping me build back the strength needed to function again. Not only this, but they have become my biggest encouragers.”

Because of Christin’s determination and commitment to her Physical Therapy program, she is now able to walk and complete everyday tasks more comfortably.

Ms. Powell is on the road to recovery with #EncoreRehab Phenix City

We are excited to celebrate Brittney Powell as Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Phenix City!

In November, Ms. Powell was in a head-on collision which left her with a fractured hip, wrist, and hand. After spending 13 days in the hospital, she was told she needed immediate Physical Therapy to regain function and mobility.

Ms. Powell shares, “I am now on the road to recovery and I owe a big thanks to the staff at Encore. They are so caring, talented, and encouraging!”
