We are so proud of Ethan Gilley! He is our Athlete of the Month at Encore Rehabilitation-Dothan!

Ethan is a recent graduate of Cottonwood High School where his sports were Baseball and Football. He plans to attend Aviation College and obtain his Aircraft and Powerplant Certificate. One of Ethan’s favorite interests in his free time is baseball.

Ethan is the son of Jeff and Kristina Gilley.

Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Krishanna Leonard receives grant

Krishanna Leonard, LAT, ATC, was a recipient of the 2022 ALATA 10+ Year Member Opportunity Grant! This $1000 grant will be used for scholar athletes at AH Parker High School where Ms. Lenonard is a Health Science Teacher and Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer. We are very proud of Krishanna and the healthcare and education she provides. She always finds ways to give back to her community. Congratulations, Krishanna!

The grant was awarded at the 2023 ALATA (Alabama Athletic Trainers’ Association) Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner on Friday, June 2, 2023 in Trussville.

Congratulations to Emma Garcia for being selected Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman!

Emma is a graduating Senior at Fairview High School, where she has competed in Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball. She has been named All-Area and All-County in Basketball and Softball, as well as the All-County Tournament. Her post-graduation plans are to continue playing Basketball in college while pursuing a degree in Sports Psychology.

She loves hiking, building Lego sets, and walking at the park with her sister and dog.

Emma is the daughter of Jennifer and Ray Garcia.

Join us in congratulating Brodi Baker! He is the Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Fayetteville!

Brodi is a Sophomore at Fayetteville City High School where he competes in Baseball and Football. After surgery for a torn ACL, Brodi received Physical Therapy with Encore. He is now back to sprinting and jumping, getting prepared to return to competitive play!

His Physical Therapist, Emma Garner, says, “Brodi works harder than anyone else with his home exercises and running regimen, and has never missed a day of Physical Therapy. His dedication to the rehab process has paid off!”

We will miss you, Tom Coleman, PT

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. would like to extend condolences to the family and friends of Tom Coleman, PT.

Tom was a dedicated Physical Therapist with Encore Rehabilitation for almost 24 years. He was the Director of Encore Rehabilitation-Decatur for many years before becoming a Regional Director for Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Moulton, Priceville, Decatur, and most recently, Athens, Hartselle, and Fayetteville (TN). Tom loved sports and was involved on the sidelines of local teams and Alabama High School Athletic Association championships.

Tom was committed to providing excellent rehab to his patients and was a loyal friend to his coworkers. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Shelton Funeral Home in Decatur Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6-7 pm and a Celebration of Life from 7-8 pm. All are welcome to attend.
