Recovering from a stroke takes determination and commitment, and Patient of the Month, Gerald Segars, has both! 💪 Mr. Segars has been receiving Physical and Occupational Therapy to re-learn how to walk and live independently. ⭐️ He shares, “I chose Encore Rehab because of their reputation for helping people get better after a stroke.”

Mr. Segars has made tremendous progress! He has regained the complete use of his arm and hand with Occupational Therapy. His walking is continuing to improve with Physical Therapy. We know with his dedication, he will keep making progress!

Meghan Johnson, PT, DPT, ATC is the new Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. is proud to select Meghan Johnson as the new Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road!

Meghan has been with Encore Rehabilitation for 8 years, first as an Athletic Trainer, a Physical Therapist and now as Clinic Director!

Meghan earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, her M.Ed. Physical Activity and Health from Auburn University, and her B.S. in Athletic Training from Penn State. She was a Kenny Howard Fellow with East Alabama Medical Center.

We are proud to have Meghan with us at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road! We are confident she will be an outstanding Clinic Director.

The future is bright! Encore Rehabilitation had the honor of having Hannah Cooper and Shaliyah Walker at our Dothan clinic last week. They are two students from Dothan Tech that have an interest in the field of physical rehabilitation.

While with us, the ladies viewed an evaluation, learned the differences between Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy and observed about rehab treatments with post-surgical patients.

Happy Times with Jack at Encore Rehabilitation-Opelika

We are so excited to announce Jack Rafferty as Patient of the Month at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road!

Jack is originally from Northborough, Massachusetts, but has had a few physical setbacks while attending Auburn University.

When asked about his experience with Encore Rehabilitation, Jack said, “I chose Encore because the physical therapists gave me the best chance to recover and made me comfortable. I am currently having therapy done for ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair in one knee. I also have a torn ACL in my left leg, and Encore has been able to effectively treat both without issue. Mallory is the GOAT (greatest of all time)!”

Jack always brings an excited energy to his Physical Therapy appointments, and has even sang “Happy Birthday” in Polish to his therapist.
