Katy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Faulkner University. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky.

Katy loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys softball and Reese’s cups.

Happy National Physical Therapy Month to Hope Hicks, LPTA!

Hope Hicks began as a clinical student at Andalusia Health. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Wallace Community College, she began working as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.

While working at the hospital, she gained experience in pediatrics, KT taping, and outpatient care. She has special interests in Sports Medicine and Women’s Health where she is continuing to gain further education and experience.

Hope and her husband, Eric, have 2 children.

Happy National Physical Therapy Month to Susan Blair-Fillmer!

Susan is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with Encore Rehabilitation at Andalusia Health. She has been with Encore Rehabilitation for five years.

Susan is an Andalusia native and graduate of Andalusia High School. She attended Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, the University of South Alabama and Bishop State Community College, where she attained her Physical Therapist Assistant degree.

Susan and her husband, Chance Filmer, have two kids.

Monday Willis is an Encore Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer providing coverage at Andalusia High School. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Monday moved to Pensacola, FL where he attended University of West Florida majoring in Athletic Training. Later, he attended Austin Peay State University acquiring a Masters degree in Human Health and Performance with a minor in Sports Psychology. Monday enjoys long walks on the beach and ice cream, even though he is lactose intolerant.

Trip Garner, PT, ATC, becomes Regional Director in Montgomery, Alabama area

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. is proud to announce Trip Garner, PT, ATC, as our new Regional Director in the Montgomery and Andalusia, Alabama areas!

Trip has been a practicing Clinician for 28 years and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for one year. He received his Physical Therapy degree from Georgia State University and his Master of Business Administration from Auburn University-Montgomery. In addition to being a licensed Physical Therapist, Trip is also a Certified Athletic Trainer with 20 years of experience.  He is also the Regional Director for Auburn, Opelika, Phenix City, Reeltown, and Eufaula.

Trip and his wife, Tamera, are the parents of three children and reside in Opelika, Alabama.

Encore Rehabilitation is pleased to announce John Thomas, LPTA, ATC, is the new Clinic Director for Encore Rehabilitation at Andalusia Health Physical Therapy!

John is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He has over 25 years experience as a clinician. John and his wife, Lisa have two children. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, working out, building equipment, being active in his church, and Auburn sports.

A native of Andalusia, John is glad to be serving in his community. Come by Andalusia Health Physical Therapy and say hello to John!
