“I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!” Ashley Bosarge & Encore Rehabilitation Tillman’s Corner

Ashley Bosarge was in pain, and lots of it. She relates, “Midway through my junior season of softball, I injured by right shoulder and started to realize the pain I was experiencing was serious. I had very limited range of motion in my shoulder and certain movements of my neck sent a painful burning sensation down my arm or my hand would go numb. After months of waiting to find out the exact cause, my MRI showed that I had labral tearing. I was diagnosed with long thoracic nerve palsy.”

Ashley has been receiving treatment at Encore Rehabilitation – Tillman’s Corner for about six months. Recovery from an injury such as hers can take time-and patience.

Ashley says, “The therapists at Encore – Tillman’s Corner truly care for their patients. They have made me realize that some progress is better than no progress and they continue to keep me motivated. It feels great to be surrounded by people who want to see you succeed as much as you do. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!”

PK of Foley regaining strength with Encore Rehabilitation – Foley

Her name is Patricia but everyone knows her as PK. PK started physical therapy at Encore Rehabilitation – Foley after having hip replacement surgery. She needed rehabilitation to regain her strength and increase her ability to walk. PK came to Encore because her doctor recommended treatment at the Foley clinic and she is glad she came. After three weeks of rehabilitation, PK exclaims, “The staff are great!”

After knee surgery, Misty Tucker is feeling better!

“I had surgery on my left knee. I had two screws and a pin put in a device to keep the knee from popping out-of-place,” relates Misty Tucker. After eight weeks of physical therapy with Encore Rehabilitation – Vernon, she is doing much better. “The friendly staff helped me with the stiffness in my leg. The staff take the time to get you where you need to be after surgery.”

“I had surgery due to a full ACL tear, partial MCL tear, and tearing of both sides of the meniscus,” says David Therrien of Long Beach, Mississippi. David has been coming to Encore Rehabilitation – Long Beach for physical therapy for 7 weeks. “Workmen’s Comp selected Encore Rehabilitation for me, but I have been absolutely pleased with the whole process.”

“I love that I get to interact with different people everyday,” says Physical Therapist Assistant Tori Kennedy. “Being a PTA, I get to help people everyday even if it does not necessarily pertain to the physical therapy world. I love helping people make progress towards their goals-whether it is getting athletes back to sports events or women back to their morning walking routine! I also love getting to make the patient’s therapy visits more meaningful and not just work for them or us.”

Tori received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Wallace State Community College. She has been practicing for two years and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for one year. Tori treats patients at the Encore Rehabilitation Clinics in Haleyville and Russellville, Alabama.

Encore Rehabilitation therapist Laura Waters, PTA, loves her job! Laura says, “There are many things I love about my job, so it is hard to point out just one. If I had to say the best thing about being a Physical Therapist Assistant, it would be how rewarding it is to help someone to return to their life. An accident or surgery can be life altering and as a therapist, I play a role in helping people recover and return to an active life.”

Laura Waters has been a Physical Therapist Assistant for Encore Rehabilitation for 17 years. She is treats patients in the Encore Rehabilitation – Tillman’s Corner/Theodore clinic.

Laura writes, “I personally had an injury and know, firsthand, how devastating it can be. As a therapist, we treat the entire person. Sometimes it requires holding their hand or simply giving them hug. I truly love my job and am so happy to help my patients return to their lives!”
