Abby is a Junior at William Carey and plays Goalie on the Crusaders Soccer Team where she has achieved tremendous success! Her list of accomplishments and awards include:

Encore Rehabilitation-Providence is delighted to recognize Heather McNaughton, DPT, for her caring and professional patient care.

Heather earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-professional Health Science in 2005. She began working for Encore Rehabilitation shortly after graduation and has expanded her education by becoming Certified in Dry Needling and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. The majority of her practice has been with an orthopedic population. She is highly motivated to rehabilitate and educate her patients to help them return to what they love to do following an injury or surgery.

Heather was born and raised in Mobile, AL. She is happily married and the proud mother of three children. She enjoys boating, running, traveling, and is an avid “boot camper.”

Meet Jessie Bowles, Physical Therapist Assistant at Encore Rehabilitation – Tillman’s Corner in Theodore, Alabama!

Being a Physical Therapist Assistant is very rewarding. The best part of my career is seeing a patient succeed. Whether that success is seeing a patient perform a small task such as performing an independent straight leg raise or a large task such as returning to their career or sport, every milestone is important,” Jessie says.

Jessie has been a Clinician for two years and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for one year. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree-Physical Therapist Assistant from Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Jessie shares, “Not only do I feel like therapists impact patients’ lives, I feel that patients make a difference in our lives as well. I will never regret my choice to become a PTA.

Back Pain Relief!

When Leah Bailey of Columbiana found out she had scoliosis, she looked for back pain relief without having surgery. She found help at Encore Rehabilitation-Columbiana.

Leah shares, “I found out I had scoliosis and I had been having back pain for a while so I wanted to find a way to fix my back without surgery. The doctor sent me to Encore and they have been amazing. They are very friendly and sweet people! My back has been a lot better since.”

Leah completed her rehabilitation and is doing well! Thank you, Leah, for choosing Encore Rehab!

A big congratulations to Presley Marks, Athlete of the Month for Holly Pond High School and Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman!

Presley is a Senior and plays multiple sports for the Broncos-Volleyball (#24), Basketball (#24), and Softball (#4). She was selected to the  2017 All-County Volleyball Team. When not playing sports, Presley enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in activities with her church. After graduation, Presley plans to pursue Nursing and become an Ob-Gyn. She is the daughter of Shane and Inger Marks.

Austin is a Freshman who competes in a variety of sports including Basketball, Baseball, Football, Track and Cross-Country! In his free time, he enjoys sports and church activities.  His post-graduation plans include pursuing an Architecture Degree at UAH-University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Austin is the son of Daniel and Missy Riddle.

Congratulations to Christopher Broyles, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Winfield!

Christopher is multi-sport athlete competing for the Pirates in Football (#25), Basketball (#14), and Track. He is a Junior at Winfield High School and plans to attend the University of Alabama or Mississippi State University to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. (Great career choice!) Christopher is the son of Billy Joe Broyles.

Lexie Childers – Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Hamilton

Meet Lexie Childers, this month’s Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Hamilton! 

Lexie is a Junior at Hamilton High School where she excels in both Softball (#22) and Basketball (#23). This is her third year playing Varsity for the Aggies.

Lexie’s list of sports accomplishments includes: 2017 All WAC Softball; 2017 Most Improved-Softball; 2017 Most Steals-Basketball; and 2018 All Marion County Basketball. She is also a State Champion with the Dirty Diamonds Softball Team.

Her future plans include pursing a career as a Nurse Practitioner or Veterinarian. Lexie is the daughter of Stephanie and Jamie Childers.
