We are pleased to introduce you to Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Curry Sanders!

Curry is a graduate of Coastal Alabama Community College and Bishop State Community College. He has been a Clinician with Encore Rehabilitation for one year. Curry’s personal interests include playing music, sports, fitness, camping, hunting, and grilling out. He and his wife, Megan, reside in Fairhope with their dog, Luna.

Announcing Gene Matthews, Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Russellville!

Gene chose Encore Rehabilitation for his physical therapy after a rotator cuff repair. The clinic was close to home and he had heard good comments about the rehab team.  He was a great patient, always doing his best. Now that his therapy is complete, we have enjoyed seeing him in the clinic as a member of our Wellness Program.

Leslie is a graduate of Fairview High School and Wallace State Community College. She is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant as well as a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. She has been with Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman for five years. Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband, Troy, and their three dogs, Ethel, Vivian, and Mabel.

“When I started college, I knew I wanted to be in the medical field and serve individuals with a variety of abilities. Occupational Therapy allows me to do both of those things and I can help individuals reach their highest level of independence. I love that I can work with people of all ages and in a variety of settings.” ~ Ariel Tucker, OTR/L

Ariel received her Occupational Science and Therapy master’s degree from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) and has been with Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman for one year. She enjoys running, kayaking, baking, traveling, and exploring with her Golden Retriever, Luca. With three half-marathons under her belt, she plans to run her first full marathon soon.

Noah is a multi-sport athlete for the Raiders where he competes in Basketball, Football and Track. He has been selected All-County Basketball, All-County Tournament-Basketball, and AHSAA Good Sportsmanship. He is a Senior this year with plans to go to UAB Medical School after graduation.

Noah is the son of Terry and Janna Fendley.

Say hi to Tammy, Bryson, COTA/L, with Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman!

Tammy has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for 13 years and enjoys her career. She says, “As I have been in the school system, I have seen many children progress and reach goals that seemed so difficult for them in the beginning. Helping a child be successful as they attain their developmental milestones is very rewarding to me.”

Tammy received her degree from Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama. Her expertise is in pediatrics, autism, and sensory-related disorders.

Tammy is married with two children. She enjoys cooking as well as making farmhouse furniture with her husband. She is active in her church where she enjoys many volunteer activities.

Clinical Director Emily LaRue is Running Strong!

Encore Rehabilitation-Hayden Clinical Director Emily LaRue, DPT, recently competed in the Oak Barrel Half Marathon in Lynchburg, Tennessee! Emily says, “I love to run! I do 5Ks regularly but only one half marathon a year.”

Recently, Emily ran in the Decatur First Priority 5K Run were she came in first in her age group!
