McKenzie Odom is walking again after a car wreck! She is Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Petal! #EncoreRehab

“I was in a bad car wreck and in a wheelchair because I broke several bones in both of my legs,” says McKenzie Odom.

McKenzie received her Physical Therapy treatment at Encore Rehabilitation-Petal and now she is walking again! We are proud her success! McKenzie was dedicated to doing her best and improving her health.

She adds, “Amye and the staff were professional, knowledgeable, and cheerful. They were very accommodating  and willing to work with me.”

Marltte McMahan-From Wheelchair to Walking with Encore Rehabilitation-Petal #EncoreRehab

“I was in septic shock and had to have surgery on my foot. I was bed-bound for a year and a half and had drop foot. I was in a wheelchair,” says Marlette McMahan. After two months of Physical Therapy at Encore Rehabilitation-Petal, Marlette is walking again! She says, “The people at Encore Rehabilitation are nice sociable people, like good friends. I was able to make really good progress form the wheelchair to walking.”

Kyle is a Senior at Long Beach High School where he plays Baseball. He was named to the Mississippi Class 5A Region 8 All-Region Baseball Team in 2019. His post-graduation plans include attending college to further his education.

Kyle is the son of  Don Parks and Jeannie Parks.

Barium Swallow Test at Stone County Hospital Outpatient Rehab Clinic

A Barium Swallow Test is performed by X-ray Technician Andy Bennett and Speech-Language Pathologist Jeni Riddle at Stone County Hospital Outpatient Rehab Clinic.

A barium swallow test uses a combination of barium and x-rays to make an image of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract to help diagnoses problems with the pharynx, esophagus, and swallowing.
