Harleigh LaFontaine – Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Diamondhead

Congratulations to Harleigh LaFontaine, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Diamondhead! Harleigh is a Junior at Hancock High School where she has played varsity sports for three years. She participates in Volleyball (#3), Softball, and Dance and has been selected as Most Athletic for the Class of 2019.

After graduation, Harleigh plans to attend the University of Mississippi and become a Pediatrician. She is the daughter of Herbie and Marlena LaFontaine.

Amber Willis – Athlete of the Month, Encore Rehabilitation of Columbia

Congratulations to Amber Willis, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation of Columbia, Mississippi! Amber is a Senior at East Marion High School where she successfully competes in four sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Track.

Amber has played varsity sports four years for the Eagles and has won multiple awards and honors including Ironlady; District Best Defensive Basketball Player; All District Volleyball Team; and Best Softball Batting Average.

When not competing, Amber enjoys spending time with family and playing sports. She intends to pursue a college degree in Biology and Health. Amber is the daughter of Ronald and Laveta Willis.

Kate Kent – Athlete of the Month for Good Hope High School-Encore Rehabilitation Cullman

Congratulations to Kate Kent, Good Hope High School & Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman Athlete of the Month! Kate is a Senior at Good Hope High School where she plays Volleyball for the Raiders. In October 2017, she led her team to the runner-up in the Cullman County Volleyball Tournament, won the Area Championship, and to the Regional Tournament. She had 163 kills, 46 solo blocks, and 29 aces. She was named to the All County Team and the All Area Team.

Congratulations to Abbie Chambless, Athlete of the Month for Addison High School – Encore Rehabilitation Cullman.

Abbie had a great month in September for the Bulldogs: 283 kills, 198 digs, 35 aces, and 86 blocks!

Diamondhead Athlete of the Month, Brooke Fagan.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead Athlete of the Month, Brooke Fagan! Brooke is a junior multi-sport athlete at Hancock High School in Kiln, MS. She has been a member of the Lady Hawks Softball and Volleyball teams for 5 years now and wears jersey #9 and #10 respectively. Brooke has quite a few impressive awards from her 5 year sports career- the 2015 South State MVP in volleyball and was a member of the 2015 All-State Volleyball team. She also has a 3.5 GPA and plans to play softball in college and major in sports medicine. She is the daughter of John and Jennifer Fagan.

Congratulations to the Arab Encore Athlete of the Month, Hannah Moore! Hannah is a junior athlete at Brindlee Mountain High School. She is a member of the Lady Lions Volleyball team wears jersey #20 and #1 (Libero). After high school, Hannah plans to attend Mississippi State and major in Early Childhood Education. She is the daughter of Phillip Moore and Edith Saint.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Makaya Necaise! Makaya is an 8th grade multi-sport athlete at Hancock Middle School. She plays on the volleyball, softball, and basketball teams and wears jersey #5 and #14. Makaya has won the 2012 Knockout and Free Throw competition. She wants to attend the University of Alabama and major in nursing. Makaya is the daughter of Miranda Necaise.

Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Kellyn Calvert and Peyton Waugh!

Congratulations to the Hayden Encore Athletes of the Month, Kellyn Calvert and Peyton Waugh! Kellyn and Peyton are both athletes at Corner High School in Dora, AL.

Kellyn Calvert is a junior and plays on the Lady Jacket’s Tennis team. She has a 4.14 GPA and will graduate in 2017. Kellyn is 2nd seed in singles and 1st seed in doubles for three years now. She has been tennis runner-up in the sectional tournament and also in the county tournement. After she graduates high school, Kellyn plans to major in pre-dentistry and go to dental school. She is the daughter of Jeff and Amy Calvert.

Peyton Waugh is a senior and has played on the Boys Tennis team for 3 years as well. He has been the 1st seed for singles and doubles for all 3 years and was runner up in the sectional tournament for singles and doubles in 2015. Peyton has a 3.4 GPA and plans to attend Bevil State, then transfer to UAB where he will major in business. He is the son of Rodger and Tonya Waugh.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Karringten Perkins! Karringten is a sophomore, multi-sport athlete at Hancock High School in Kiln, Mississippi. She is a member of the Lady Hawks Volleyball, Golf, and Basketball teams and wears jersey #1. Her varsity sports awards consist of the Volleyball Player of the Week for Sea Coast Echo and MaxPreps, and All-Around Player for the Pass Christian Basketball Tournament. After graduation, Karringten plans to attend Mississippi State and major in Dermatology. She is the daughter of April and Tony Perkins.
