Meet Elizabeth McBrayer, the Patient of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Winfield!

Ms. McBrayer recently underwent shoulder surgery to repair a rotator cuff tear. She required Physical Therapy to improve her range of motion and strength. Ms. McBrayer chose Encore Rehabilitation as her healthcare provider. A bad fall left Mr. Tony Hunt with several breaks in his shoulder. Following reverse shoulder surgery, Mr. Hunt came to Encore Rehabilitation-Moulton for Physical Therapy. 

He shares, “The staff and facilities are excellent. Our family had previously used the Moulton clinic for rehab and we were well pleased with the services so I chose Encore for my shoulder rehab.”

Meet Spencer Haney, our Encore Rehabilitation – Winfield, Athlete of the Month!

Spencer is a Junior at Winfield City High School where he competes in football and baseball! Spencer can be seen wearing #3 on the field. Spencer enjoys hunting and fishing when he is not participating in high school sports. He hopes to continue his baseball career after high school while obtaining a degree in engineering.

Spencer is the son of Heather and Dewayne Haney.

Back to an active lifestyle after Physical Therapy at Encore Rehabilitation-Pelham

Vigorous hiking, extreme cycling, and long-distance walking are all activities that require healthy knees. All of these are sports that Mr. Tim Watson enjoys but pain and weaknesses in his knee and patella recently has prevented his participation.

Mr. Watson’s doctor referred him to Encore Rehabilitation-Pelham for Physical Therapy. After a few weeks of care, Mr. Watson is now ready to return to his active lifestyle, including taking part in an upcoming 20 mile walk. We are proud of his determination to regain his health!

Recovering from a stroke takes determination and commitment, and Patient of the Month, Gerald Segars, has both! 💪 Mr. Segars has been receiving Physical and Occupational Therapy to re-learn how to walk and live independently. ⭐️ He shares, “I chose Encore Rehab because of their reputation for helping people get better after a stroke.”

Mr. Segars has made tremendous progress! He has regained the complete use of his arm and hand with Occupational Therapy. His walking is continuing to improve with Physical Therapy. We know with his dedication, he will keep making progress!

Meghan Johnson, PT, DPT, ATC is the new Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. is proud to select Meghan Johnson as the new Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road! 

Meghan has been with Encore Rehabilitation for 8 years, first as an Athletic Trainer, a Physical Therapist and now as Clinic Director! 

Meghan earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, her M.Ed. Physical Activity and Health from Auburn University, and her B.S. in Athletic Training from Penn State. She was a Kenny Howard Fellow with East Alabama Medical Center. 

We are proud to have Meghan with us at Encore Rehabilitation-Pike Road! We are confident she will be an outstanding Clinic Director.
