Rick Hoadley loves to be active: cycling, walking, martial arts! So when he suffered a shoulder injury and had to have a knee replacement, it was important to him to become active again.
Rick chose Encore Rehabilitation-Tillman’s Corner to be his rehab provider. He says, “Encore Rehab has an excellent staff. They use a scientific and methodical approach to therapy, one that is very gradual and encouraging and also gets results.” Rick has regained use of his knee and can do all the things he missed! He is back to being active and has returned to taekwondo training again.
Congratulations, Rick, from all your friends at Encore Rehabilitation-Tillman’s Corner!

Jill Gurganus was suffering with pain every day related to trigeminal neuralgia and TMD/TMJ. At times her pain was debilitating, ranking 8-10 on a pain scale of 10. Previous attempts to combat the pain with medicine and other treatments were short-lived. But now things are different, thanks to physical therapy and dry needling at Encore Rehabilitation-Tillman’s Corner.
Jill happily relates her success, “When the spasms started to return, I started physical therapy and dry needling**. Within a few treatments my symptoms were significantly better! By the end of my treatments, my pain had gone from a debilitating 8-10 to zero! I am now down to a very few episodes a day. I have also learned proper body mechanics and tools to strengthen the muscles. The staff at Encore is amazing and has truly been a lifesaver! The Encore staff have completely changed my life.”
Thank you, Jill, for choosing the rehab team at Encore Rehabilitation-Tillman’s Corner as your rehab provider! We appreciate the opportunity to help you!
Meet Jessie Bowles, Physical Therapist Assistant at Encore Rehabilitation – Tillman’s Corner in Theodore, Alabama!
“Being a Physical Therapist Assistant is very rewarding. The best part of my career is seeing a patient succeed. Whether that success is seeing a patient perform a small task such as performing an independent straight leg raise or a large task such as returning to their career or sport, every milestone is important,” Jessie says.
Jessie has been a Clinician for two years and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for one year. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree-Physical Therapist Assistant from Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Jessie shares, “Not only do I feel like therapists impact patients’ lives, I feel that patients make a difference in our lives as well. I will never regret my choice to become a PTA.”
Thank you, Jessie, for your dedication and commitment to excellent patient care!
Ashley Bosarge was in pain, and lots of it. She relates, “Midway through my junior season of softball, I injured by right shoulder and started to realize the pain I was experiencing was serious. I had very limited range of motion in my shoulder and certain movements of my neck sent a painful burning sensation down my arm or my hand would go numb. After months of waiting to find out the exact cause, my MRI showed that I had labral tearing. I was diagnosed with long thoracic nerve palsy.”
Ashley has been receiving treatment at Encore Rehabilitation – Tillman’s Corner for about six months. Recovery from an injury such as hers can take time-and patience.
Ashley says, “The therapists at Encore – Tillman’s Corner truly care for their patients. They have made me realize that some progress is better than no progress and they continue to keep me motivated. It feels great to be surrounded by people who want to see you succeed as much as you do. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!”
We wish you continued recovery, Ashley! Happy National Physical Therapy Month!
At Encore Rehabilitation, we LOVE to see you move!
