Congratulations to Christopher Broyles, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation-Winfield!

Christopher is multi-sport athlete competing for the Pirates in Football (#25), Basketball (#14), and Track. He is a Junior at Winfield High School and plans to attend the University of Alabama or Mississippi State University to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. (Great career choice!) Christopher is the son of Billy Joe Broyles.

Justin Byrd, DPT, ATC, new Clinic Director at Encore Rehabilitation-Priceville

Welcome to our new Clinic Director, Justin Byrd, DPT, ATC, Cert. DN!

Justin has been a part of Encore Rehabilitation for two and a half years as a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer.

Justin received his Clinicial Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from The University of Alabama. While attending UA, he worked with the softball, gymnastic, and football teams. Justin is certified in Dry Needling and is currently pursuing his certification in Spinal Manipulation from the Spinal Manipulation Institute. He will soon earn his Diploma in Osteopractic.

Justin combines his knowledge of the human body with a strong sense of compassion and understanding to develop personal, individualized, patient-centered care for treating a variety of orthopedic and sport-related injuries/impairments. He focuses on hands-on manual therapy that consist of manipulation, mobilization, and dry needling. He desires to help all his patients regain complete functional movement and mobility, especially individuals suffering from back pain, neck pain, tension headaches, and cervicogenic headaches.

Justin is married to Kristie Hutchison Byrd, a native of Priceville. Kristie also works for Encore Rehabilitation as an Occupational Therapist. They are the proud parents of Olivia Kate (Livy).

Encore Rehabilitation, Inc. is proud of our Human Resources Department for the support they give our employees. From new hires to seasoned employees, Jennie, Amanda, and Mack are always available to answer questions and treat each employee with respect.  They provide assistance with benefits, family medical leave, and more. We are thankful to have a GREAT HR Department!

Mack graduated from the University of Alabama in 2015 with a major in Human Resources Management. He has been with Encore for 2 years.

Amanda Stone – Human Resources Assistant (left back row)
Amanda graduated from Troy University in 2009 with a degree in Sports & Fitness Management with Health Promotion & Exercise Science concentrations. She has been with Encore 9 years.  She is married with 2 sons and a daughter.

Jennie Foote – Director of Human Resources (right back row)
Jennie graduated from Athens State University in 1999 with a  double major in Human Resources Management and Business Management.  She has been with Encore for 8 years.  She is married with one daughter.

Fayette Encore Athlete of the Month, Mason Bonner!

Congratulations to the Fayette Encore Athlete of the Month, Mason Bonner! Mason is a Junior multi-sport athlete at Fayette County High School. He has been on the Varsity Tiger’s Football and Tennis teams for 3 years now and wears jersey #70. Mason has a 3.26 GPA and plans to attend the University of South Alabama for Mechanical Engineering and then the University of Alabama for Law. He is the son of Ashley Bonner.

Fayette Encore Athlete of the Month, Tre Tranum.

Congratulations to the Fayette Encore Athlete of the Month, Tre Tranum! Tre is a senior, multi-sport athlete at Hubbertville High School. He is a member of the football and baseball teams and has played varsity sports for 6 years now.  Tre has received the Iron Bunch Award 6 times (!!!), and has also received the 2015 Lineman of the Year award! After high school, Tre plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in engineering. He is the son of Amanda and Kenny Tranum.

Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Garrett Cooper!

Congratulations to the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Garrett Cooper! Garrett is a senior athlete at Marion County High School. He is a member of the Track and Cross Country team and has ran on varsity for 6 years. Garrett has won the Track All-County, award, All-Section award, All-State Pole Vault, and 2nd and 3rd place in pole vault at the State Indoor track meet! After college, Garrett plans to attend the University of Alabama to study Architectural Engineering. He is the son of David and Joy Cooper.

Congratulations to the Fayette Encore Athlete of the Month, Eric Gurganus! Eric is a Freshman athlete at Berry High School. He is a member of the Football team and wears jersey numbers 16 and 8. After graduation in the spring of 2019, Eric plans to attend the University of Alabama. He is the son of Matthew Bonner. Keep up the good work Eric!

Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Makaya Necaise.

Congratulations to the Diamondhead Encore Athlete of the Month, Makaya Necaise! Makaya is an 8th grade multi-sport athlete at Hancock Middle School. She plays on the volleyball, softball, and basketball teams and wears jersey #5 and #14. Makaya has won the 2012 Knockout and Free Throw competition. She wants to attend the University of Alabama and major in nursing. Makaya is the daughter of Miranda Necaise.

Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Emma Howell.

Congratulations to the Winfield Encore Athlete of the Month, Emma Howell! Emma is a junior, multi-sport athlete at Winfield City High School. She has been on the Softball and Cheer teams for 4 years now and wears jersey number 7. Emma has won All-American Cheerleader 3 years in a row, as well as, Cheerleading State and Regionals multiple years. She has also won a AHSAA State Championship with her Softball team in 2014, and received “Most Stolen Bases” for Marion County for the 2015 season.

After graduation next year, Emma plans to attend the University of Alabama. She is the daughter of Chris and Nancy Inman, and Ronny and Shannon Howell. Good luck your upcoming senior year, Emma!

Vernon Encore Athlete of the Month, Isaac Whittle.

Congratulations to the Vernon Encore Athlete of the Month, Isaac Whittle!

Isaac is a freshman, multi-sport athlete from Lamar County High School. He has been a member of the football, basketball, baseball and track teams for 3 years now and wears jersey number 22. His sports awards consist of All-County Football, WAC- Football Offensive player of the Week, and Bulldog Athlete of the Week. After he graduates in 2019, he plans to attend UNA for 2 years and then transfer to University of Alabama to major in Physical Therapy. Isaac is the son of Tony and Janet Allen.
