Congratulations to Zayne Guthrie, Athlete of the Month for Addison High School and Encore Rehabilitation – Cullman!

Zayne is a Junior and plays Quarterback and Defensive Back for the Bulldogs. He had a fantastic record for November 2017 passing for 292 yards and 6 touchdowns while also rushing for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns, a total of 692 yards and 11 touchdowns for only four games!

Way to go, Zayne!

 

 

Helping people meet their goals – Mac Burt, LPTA of Encore Rehabilitation-Foley

Mac Burt is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) at Encore Rehabilitation-Foley, Alabama. Mac says, “The best thing about being a LPTA is being able to help people regain their freedom and meet their goals. When I see a person do something that they were not able to do before therapy, it reminds me of why I do what I do.”

Mac earned his LPTA degree from Pensacola State College and has been with Encore Rehabilitation for two years.

A very Merry Christmas Celebration at Adult Neuro Center

The Adult Neuroscience Center (Ocean Springs, Mississippi) held its Annual Support Group Christmas Party on Friday, December 15th for members of the four support groups offered at our clinic.  These groups include the Parkinson’s Disease Support Group, the Aphasia & Communication Support Group, the Movement Disorder Exercise Group, and the Stroke Support Group.  Good times and laughter were shared by all who attended!

“Every day and every patient is different. No two injuries are exactly the same. It is rewarding to come up with different approaches for each patient, ” says Josh Lenox, PT. Josh is the Clinic Director for Encore Rehabilitation – Hartselle and Encore Rehabilitation – Brewer High School.
Josh has a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama and has been the Director at Hartselle since 2007. He has specialty certification in Dry Needling, FCEs (Functional Capacity Evaluations), and Impairment Ratings.
Josh started working for Encore 23 years ago as an aide at Summerford Nursing Home. At the time, he was a  high school student at Falkville High School.

Amber Willis – Athlete of the Month, Encore Rehabilitation of Columbia

Congratulations to Amber Willis, Athlete of the Month for Encore Rehabilitation of Columbia, Mississippi! Amber is a Senior at East Marion High School where she successfully competes in four sports: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Track.

Amber has played varsity sports four years for the Eagles and has won multiple awards and honors including Ironlady; District Best Defensive Basketball Player; All District Volleyball Team; and Best Softball Batting Average.

When not competing, Amber enjoys spending time with family and playing sports. She intends to pursue a college degree in Biology and Health.  Amber is the daughter of Ronald and Laveta Willis.

Congratulations again, Amber! Have a great Senior year!

Tyler Borden – Athlete of the Month for Addison High School & Encore Rehabilitation – Cullman

Congratulations to Tyler Borden, Athlete of the Month for Addison High School and Encore Rehabilitation-Cullman! Tyler is a Senior at Addison where he plays Running Back and Defensive Back (#17) for the Bulldogs. For the month of October, Tyler posted 450 years and 7 touchdowns in only 3 games.  We wish you all the best in your senior year, Tyler!
