Kollin Cannon, DPT, holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. Kollin was born and raised in Bay St. Louis, where he attended St. Stanislaus before signing a football and baseball scholarship to Pearl River Community College.

He rejoins the Encore Rehabilitation-Long Beach family as he was a Physical Therapy Technician prior to his acceptance into PT school. Kollin enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and family.

Micah’s sport is Volleyball where she excels! She has been named All-County 2 years; All-Area 3 years; Top Setter 3 years; and Top Server 4 years. She has also been selected Team Captain 2 years. Micah plans to continue volleyball at Wallace State Community College. In her personal time, she enjoys volleyball, bowling, and hanging out with friends.

25th Super 7 State Football Championships Start Wednesday
Thompson – Auburn Kick Off AHSAA State Football Championships at Bryant-Denny
     MONTGOMERY – Defending Class 7A state champion Thompson High School faces strong challenger Auburn High School when the two teams meet Wednesday night it kick off the AHSAA 25th Super 7 State Football Championships at the University of Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium. This is the 55th year of the AHSAA State football playoffs.
      The Class 7A championship game kicks off at 7 p.m., as will be the first of seven state championship games to be held here Dec. 2-3-4. All games will be televised over the AHSAA TV Network and live-streamed over the NFHS Network. WOTM TV is producing the games which can been seen over a network of cable affiliates across the state. The games were offered free to every cable affiliate in the state.
      For Coach Mark Freeman’s Warriors (13-0), the state championship game will be the third in a row. Thompson lost to Central-Phenix City in 2018, came back to beat the Red Devils in last year’s Super 7 title game and will now face Central’s chief Region 2 rival Auburn (12-1) in the 2020 championship.
     This year’s finals take on even more significance said Freeman. “We were hoping to get back to the finals but more importantly, we were just hoping to be able to have a football season this year.
      “I am so proud of our team and all the teams that are here – and am thankful for the AHSAA and who sacrificed so much to make this season a possibility.”
       The Warriors roll in riding a seven-game playoff winning streak and an overall 17-game win streak dating back to a loss to Hewitt-Trussville in the last game of the regular season in 2019.
       Thompson, coached by Mark Freeman, is anchored on offense by junior quarterback Conner Harrell, who has completed 220-of-298 passes for 3,405 yards and 40 touchdowns his season. The Warriors are averaging 44.2 ppg and 457.6 yards per  game with 190.2 coming on the ground.  Jarrett Crockett is the team’s leading rusher with 1,037 yards and 16 touchdowns on 152 carries in just 10 games. Harrell has a strong receiving corps led by J.B. Mitchell, who has 70 catches for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns. Ryan Peppins has 63 receptions for 1,037 yards and also has 12 receiving TDs, Tre Roberson has 39 catches for 480 yards and five touchdowns, and Sam Reynolds has 26 catches for 465 yards and six scores.
    Defensively, linebacker Jeremiah Alexander has 106 tackles on the year with 29 resulting in loss yardage. His eight sacks lead the team and has accounted for 54 negative yards.  
     Auburn, coached by Adam Winegarden, averages 35.0 ppg and is allowing just 14.4.  Quarterback Matthew Caldwell has completed 115-of-211 passes for 1,768 yards and 19 TDs this season in 11 games. His top receivers are Bryson Clague (49 catches, 738 yards, 2 TDs); Jazavion Ray (18 catches for 408 yards and four scores); and explosive Quay Ross (21 receptions, 343 yards, 8 TDs).  J.T. Rodgers is the team’s leading rusher with 703 yards and 10 TDs on 139 carries.
     Defensively, the Tigers have been tough up front all year. Defensive lineman Gordon Powell has 74 tackles, including nine sacks and 13 stops behind the line total. Middle linebacker Brad Harper has 79 tackles, linebacker Joey McGinty has 60 stops and seven sacks, and Quay Nelms has a team-leading six interceptions. Auburn has 17 as a team.

      Thursday’s Super 7 schedule features state finals in Class 3A, 1A and 5A. Fyffe (14-0), the 2A state champs in 2018 and 2019, moved to 3A and will riding a 44-game winning streak when the Red Devils take on Montgomery Catholic (12-2) in the 3A finals at 10 a.m. The Class 1A championship game featuring Linden (14-0) and Pickens County (11-3) will follow at 2:49 p.m.; and the Class 5A championship game between Pleasant Grove (11-2) and unbeaten St. Paul’s Episcopal (14-0) of Mobile at 7:30 p.m.
     Classes 2A, 4A and 6A close out the 2020 Super 7 championships Friday.  Handley (11-1) meets Gordo (13-1) at 10 a.m., in Class 4A; Abbeville (12-1), making its first state championship game appearance since 1971, faces Mars Hill Bible (12-2) at 2:45 p.m.; and Spanish Fort (11-3) takes on Pinson Valley (11-2) in the 6A finals at 7:30 p.m.
    Play-by-play announcer Tommy Wood and color analyst Coach Rick Rhoades will be handling the commentary for the Class 7A game Wednesday and split the remaining games with sportscasters Mickey Shadrix and Gethard Methangani Thursday and Friday. he AHSAA Radio Network, anchored by veteran announcers Randy Lee and Brett Pritchard, will also broadcast all seven championship games over its network of radio affiliates and the internet.  The Radio Network will feature a host of announcers including popular Mobile radio personalities Rick Cleveland and Corey LaBounty as well as veteran AHSAA Network personalities Luke Robinson, Jeremy Jeffcoat, Caleb Brooks and producer Stacy Mills.
